as a hawk supporter I'm happy for the swans I just love seeing these old amazing teams doing well and as hawks arent gonna make the 8 i want sydney to do an incredible and win the flag ,go hawks and go swans

As Swans fan, this was up and down with an epic finish. It saved the Swans season btw... I only watch AFL since 2014, after I stumbled by pure chance over the Geelong-Hawks docu. That got me interested... This game was the most thrilling. I saw it live, shaking my head while watching: how could the Swans allow 7 goals in a row and throw their season away? ... Well, they didn´t :-)
Awesome game Swans came back with the last 5 minutes of Rohan did not mark that at the end Essendon probably would have won but Bombers played a great game you gotta say
watching that game yesterday, played with my emotions as i got so pissed at the umpire on the goal side, but then 1 min later i am in shock and so happy re-watching it makes me wanna cry, i am so proud for the swans, even though we get umps who seem dodgy, we can still pull of a win, this whole year has been playing with the swans emotions, as first 6 games were a dud, but we are back and now i just have no words
As a Bomber that loss was hard to take, but I have to say, it's been years since we've come back off the canvas to fight back against the swans in SCG games. Shame those crucial goals weren't shown in this video! Usually it's a hard uphill slog with woefully one-sided umpiring. This time around the umpiring was solid.
Reece Eyre just waited too long till he bombed it out of there D: should have just launched it like Daniher down the wing and hoped and prayed. Atleast get it our of their fifty... always next time :(
Props to Baguley for not flopping like Oliver. Parker only gets a $1000 fine (careless) while Schofield gets 2 weeks down to 1 (intentional) First Rance, now Oliver. AFL MRP have no intention of doing anything about staging.
I'm a swans supporter and I was at the game but we left early bc we thought we would lose. I was kind of annoyed that I wasn't in there for the final siren.
The exact same scenario has been paid as holding the man about 50 times this year but if the clock has less than 2 minutes the umpires become to scared to make a call.
What a game, but i'm still questioning if that last kick was 15 meter's for the swans guy that marked the ball. I guess when ur looking from a TV it dose not look that far from the player.
From what I can tell, the footage at 07:47 shows where the ball was landing - basically on top of Naismith's head. He then tapped it behind him to Rampe (of what looks to be 2-3m or so) who in turn kicked it immediately and Rohan marked virtually right on the goal line. The Umpi has tossed it 15-20 metres. The goal square is 9m which means just by using my eye I can see the ball landed well outside of and diagonal (which increases the distance) to the square, about double the length of the square I'd say - certainly more than 6m. Then, by the curve of the field, you can see that if the umpi were in line with where Rohan marked it, it'd be more like 30-35m throw-in based on where it landed. I mean I'm just using my visual descernment, but I'm pretty sure it was more than 15m from Rampe to Rohan. About 30-35m I think.
