He’s a big part of it.. he’s Red carding the player within a second.. that player is now Red carded and got the opposition team pushing him. He feels as if he’s got nothing to lose and carries on the fight. BASIC REF RULES ffs
@@nabilshafec7169 within seconds or not as a player you should never put your hands on another player because it is a red offense, some ref will give you yellow depending on the situation
@@battlevgaming9887 There’s a way to Ref a derby, and manage the crowd/players. He didn’t do that well at all. Having said that, Mexicans lost their heads
FIFA need to look at this for the crowd behaviour of throwing missiles on to the pitch. If that was in England or Europe the book would be thrown at us.
Imagine being an international footballer and losing your head that much. Actually embarrassing. Ref handled it well. Also the fans throwing things on the pitch, if this was in Europe theyd have the book thrown at them. Embarrassment to the game.
@jesusbermudez6775yep, was just about to say. Watched a game in Slovakia, Slovan FC played an Irish team and the home fans throw plastic cups at the players. It gets nasty in Europe too.
Bunch of egotistical drama queens can’t take a bit of beef, it’s pathetic, same with chants they’re pro footballers they should be able to handle abuse, as the fans are looking for reactions, showing you’re bothered by racist chants just encourages fans to do it more cos they know it’ll wind them up, just get on with the game ffs bunch of pussies the lot of them
People who say it's 'good' that the players are losing their temper are completely wrong. A civilised person shows passion and aggression on the field without behaving like a child. As for the crowd; it looked like the USA and Mexico fans were mixed, as you'd expect given how tied together they are through families and history. Surprising then, that there was crowd trouble. I wonder if someone who was at the game in the crowd could elaborate.
@Christopher agreed. We all love a bit of spice to a football game. But the sports so commercialised. Its the media companies who don't like raucous behaviour or fans being ordinary football fans. This is a working class mans sport you can't negate fans with flags and armbands they will do what they want to and theres nothing the football authorities or the big corporate sponsors can do about it.
@@HamzaIbrahim-jg1wj from watching that he struck another player. Not in the face but he slapped down at the hand that tore his shirt. You would consider this defending yourself but in football it's consider striking another player and results in a red card. In their rules he is supposed to just stand there, completely surrounded by Mexico players while one rips the shirt off his back. Stupid but there it is.
I'd be knocking on the door of the association demanding a raise. If he's having to essentially babysit 22 children who can't go five minutes without fighting then he deserves a bit more if that's the standard of officiating in the region.
Didn't catch the Game Live but so impressed with these Highlights, Pulisic is dynamite. Felt Mexico would Score against the USA, credit passed for the USA Defence helping the 3-0 Scoreline.
Did Weston get sent off for having his shirt ripped off? 8 guys around him, not once did a replay show anything that would resemble a red card for him yet he goes and the guy who wants to swap shirts early is fine?
Personally it looked to me like it was the Mexicans instigating everything and the Americans lashing out in revenge. After being kicked and shoved twice I don't blame dest for shoving back.
@@NeilLewis77 yep. That second kick was overly forceful & done in an attempt to sneakily hurt the player whilst looking like he went for only the ball. Then when he got no reaction, he shoved Dest. Dest had every right to be pissed
@@blue_red_screen lol, I'm not honest because I'm not using a word YOU want me to? Be quiet. I used the word "frustration" in my original comment, and I'd use it when speaking to the media. That's honesty & consistency. You're tryna be clever & trip me up, but you've ended up looking stupid.
@@AFW5627 still doesn't change the point I made 😬 a nation like Mexico with a huge passion for football should be a true powerhouse in world football but because they got a temperament of a spoilt and angry child they don't have the right mentality to succeed
You know when commentators say stuff like "we dont wanna see this" when the majority of fans actaully love it when theres handbags especially when its against your big rivals we love it when a player shows passion for the club/nation. Hence why fans remember players like keane, viera, tony adams, vinnie jones, duncan ferguson and vidic because we deep down love players that vent our frustration from life itself
I don't want to see players headbutted or hit in the face. I don't want to see homophobic chanting. I don't want to see players hit with objects from the stand. I love a physical football game - I'm Scottish - but there's always a line. It's not an absurd spectacle like ice hockey.
@@gordon1545 Football became pussified over the years though, some red card tackles today weren't even fouls in the 80's. You sometimes see a player try a two footed challenge from behind and be like 3 feet away from his target, no where near contact and the player will get a red card for it for even attempting it. Football is far too fucking soft these days. Surely there has to be an area between football hooliganism and calling off football games due to someones feelings being hurt.
Assist for the second goal is super underrated. Beat 4 players and made it look easy. I think the ref did very well but I wouldn't be surprised if this game is stuck in his head for weeks.
Why did VAR tell the ref to send off McKennie for a shove in the chest (which is universally understood to be a yellow) and then not send off the guy who ripped the shirt off his back and clashed heads with him? I hate whenever refs feel the need to "equalise" the game when teams lose their heads.
I think its because he pushed him away by his neck, its a similar thing to what casemiro got sent off for this season plus his facial expressions looks like he was intending to punch the other player but i think imo it's more than a yellow but less than a red if there was something in-between like an orange card but there isn't so i guess it is a red. If you put your hands on someones neck it's always going to look a bit suspicious.
tbf i'm not sure there's much you can really do about such a lightning fast counter-attack as seen in the 2nd goal but then again i don't know jack💩 about defensive strategy so idk 🤷♂
Both countries have scummy views that actually discriminate against one another’s beliefs, a semi final that is so charged with rivalry and hatred, but that’s no excuse. England and Germany would have never ended like this.
@@Mightbeyourdadwe may have won the war, but let's face it, they ended up being the economic power house of Europe anyway 😂. What do we even manufacture anymore...
Lack of professional discipline ruined what was a sensational win with some outstanding football. The assists were just brilliant. Great vision, great skill.
The Americans have a lot of resources in their system that Mexico cannot match. They've also been at it for decades trying to improve their game and infrastructure. Throwing a lot of money at it. This has recently coincided with Mexican football being in decline. If you were to look at USA vs MEX head to head results in the last decade I would not be surprised if the USA has the better record. They've been doing well against Mexico for years now as I kept noticing it, for the same reason you posted. Because once upon a time it was a mismatch but times change.
@@exelmans8855 All we can do is hope. 🤣And yes you're right. You cannot compare the passion for the game in Mexico with the USA. Not even a contest IMHO. The Mexicans are pissed about it too. With their World Cup display as well. Come on Mexico, fix the hell up! 🤣
I think common sense needs to be utilised more. Stop sending off one player from each team just to appear "fair". That kick out from #3 in Mexico was intentional & went the man. A US player pushing him back is a NATURAL response. I don't think that is worthy of a red
It may well be a natural response but it's still against the laws of the game and so you will still be punished for it. The smart thing to do is to not react, let the guy get himself sent off and then you have an advantage of an extra man for the rest of the game. They are professionals, they should be thinking about the entire game/tournament, not just about the next 5 seconds. That's 2 USA players not playing in the final because they those to react.
It was the Mexican who were by far and away the most aggressive and violent of the two teams. Some of the were pushing American faces and shoving them in the latter stages of the game and got away with it, without being sent off. Half the Mexican team should have been sent off. The US were far more restrained by comparison, so why should they be banned ?
I got no stake in this fight But mexico realy let themselves down today Everything instigated by mexican players Retaliation with a push shouldn't be a red card in football because in real life retaliating is classed as self defence yes football is different but push me you'll get a punch
You raise your hands to another player or an official it's a straight red. Simple as that and the players know it. Even throwing a punch and missing is a red. Players need to learn to turn their backs and walk away.
@Jayfive276 get lost with that. They are humans, and they react, young men at that, in the heat of the competition, let me push you in your face, and I'd like to see your reaction Haven't got time for naive response,
The word 'soccer' actually originate in England, It is an abbreviation of 'Association Football' - a-SOC(cer)-ciation football. It has used in England in the early and mid 20th century and in the Midlands, we had a Sunday football highlights show called 'Star Soccer'. The word ' soccer' was used to distinguish the game from our other 'football' - Rugby Football. The Americans use it to distinguish it from their other 'football' - American football. So I think that you, and everybody else who keeps mentioning this in the UK, now see that the Americans have a sound reason for using 'Soccer' over the generic term ' football' and also that the term was invented in England and was used here for a long time.
@@PoeticPoker262 Nobody asked you to read it, did they ? People should not go around lecturing people of other countries if they don't know the facts in the first place. I suggest that you and people like you, remain in your imbecilic world of 'love Island', X factor and rap music whilst never reading a book and striving to remain in your state of ignorance for the rest of your life. Go to sleep and don't bother waking up.
That's not good, though. His son was throwing a tantrum over lack of playing time, it got so bad that they considered sending him home, the coach then talked about the incident in a private/non-public leadership forum, without mentioning anyone by name, in the context of dealing with difficulties, and so the player's parents retaliate by revealing a domestic violence incident thirty years ago between the coach and his-now wife which was told to the player's mother in strict confidence during a tear-filled moment back when they were best friends. What a despicable series of events. In a sane world, Reyna would be banned from the team for life. This is how athletes and celebrities develop galaxy-sized egos that spin out of control.
made contact w the guy's face, that's an instant red nowadays. I believe Doucoure did that against Kane when Everton played Spurs and got shown a red. It wasn't bad, he just pushed him and made contact with the face
@@HamzaIbrahim-jg1wjWatch again. He lashes out and pushes a Mexican player by the throat amidst the handbags gojng on. He fully deserved a red card for that. Dest also deserved one for his childish behaviour. This US team will thrive intercontinentally but will always fall short on a global scale.
