2:50 is Warrington Town's very own "AGUEROOOOOO !!!!!!" moment. I'll remember this for a long time. Better than the FA Cup game against Exeter in my opinion and I was at both games. Splendid stuff :-)
Warrington Town deserved the promotion after going close in the last few seasons but will likely need to continue to improve otherwise they might find themselves playing league games against Brig once again before long.
Came here at random. Congrats and all that but l am from Ipswich which has a population 100,000 less than Warrington. I know it’s a RL town but our average gate in League One last year was 25,000. Why does Warrington Town have so few supporters?
Four big Premier League clubs are 20 minutes either side of the town, two of which are two of the biggest clubs in the world. Warrington's population has grown significantly in the past 20 years. The club was promoted to the seventh tier in 2016, and now sixth tier for 2023. For whatever reason, non-league football has previously been frowned upon and not as accessible as it is now.
@@dadnladfc Yes l am sure that is a lot to do with it. But even so I find it hard to understand why people born and bred in one place support a team from somewhere else. I am guessing it’s the same for you.
