It just dawned on me how many Critical Role cast members are in WoW in major roles. Laura is Jaina, Travis is Gazlowe, Liam is Illidan, Taliesin is Darion, Matt is Rexxar, and Sam had a few minor voices

@@dustinfontenot21 really? The contrast is so drastic i was pretty damn convinced it wasn't the same actor. I really do like how the old voice sounds though, it's damn powerful

@@crookedowl yea blizzard liked him but wanted hin nonstop the old voice bc the reason he was always shouting was bc he wanted the lich king dead and once he did it, he just calmed down. That's their explanation at least

As much as I like this old voice, it does make sense that without the Lich King's overriding hatred of the living driving him, his own issues were allowed to be dealt with. Hell, the softer voice was heard during the Shadowmourne event when Darion's speaking to his father. I think that knowing his sacrifice was worth it helped calm him down some. That, and he's probably come to terms with a lot of his issues... even if being undead kinda sucks, he doesn't actively bitch about it like Sylvanas did.

I think that ship's sailed, given that he's now an undead being and Light is pretty damned painful for them to use.... but who knows, he may be another answer to the 'Child of Light and Shadow' prophesy that people are going on about. Along with Alleria and Turalyon's son or lllidan... probably less so Illidan now... Edit: Scratch that. It was Illidan. Sorry, haven't played the game in a few weeks and forgot.

@@lelouche25 Don't give me hope. I want Darion to get his justice, but I think it'll be poorly delivered based on what we've received on the Shadowlands Alpha so far. Happy to see him, not happy to see what's happening.

He actually was a mutual character. He was a paladin with no allegiance and when he died he became a head honcho dk so technically hes not alliance :)

@@dustinfontenot21 he was born into the alliance, but ditched it away as soon as it had no meaning over the threath of the plague and joined a neutral order, he was pretty cool actually

@@dustinfontenot21 because he's better than petty squabbles over who gets which land or what right. he always fought for the greater cause and saw greater horizens. Best character introduced in WOW (not including WC3 characters) !!!

@@Metalnando666 i said "only human" and "amongst alliance races". i absolutely love every character in the Horde side, including: 1.sylvanas 2. kael'thas sunstrider (king of blood elves, so horde) 3. Grom Hellscream 4. Cairn bloodhoof 5. Thrall 6. Garrosh... etc Darion is my favorite alliance character... but then again, i don't count night elves as alliance, i just count em as night elves !
