Pretty Cool! There's a company that makes a very small version. I think they are called hyper blades? They are a knife vendor. They have small projectiles about the size of a pencil, pretty powerful for what it is.

Adding a longer trigger or maybe an extension for your whole hand like an old crossbow will make the trigger much more comfortable

I am so very thankful to see the effort required to release that. This could be very dangerous. Please research your trigger/sear options thoroughly before you make the next gen prototype. An easier release might be nice, but you don't want something unstable

I tend to polish my rocket when I shoot knives as well. Good breath control and a great shot, bubba. (Tip: if you squeeze the tip right at the last second, you’ll spray/shoot further.)

That looks like a fairly strong and sturdy spring that is in that tube....

I would recommend installing a lever system and a SAFTEY. You also should put a end cap which should double as the sheath so that way not only it'll be safe to carry around, but it will also allow you to actually push the knife back in. It may be a barely functional prototype, but you have to be careful because this is the equivalent of making a bow by bending a green stick and half and putting a piece of string on both ends. You got to be careful man.

I’m pretty sure a simple notch and sear would release the blade easier than twisting it out of that channel against a butt load of spring pressure.

You should add a rotating grip trigger that way you can still get the force without hurting your finger

Reconsider the mechanism so that one does not have to be bitten by a radioactive spider before they can use it.

You should probably make a trigger that allows you to put more pressure on the lock, so you have a more precise shot

Id suggest polishing all your edges and then oiling the contact surfaces would make it alot easier to get it to shoot. personally id go for some sort of detent system that way your not pressing on a moving piece.
