Yeah! I’ve not even finished watching this (2 minutes in) and I already know I’m going to love the whole thing - I’ll probably watch it a few times! Thanks Dominique!
@@StyleDomination it’s easy to support you - your tips are fantastic and they work! I’m 17 weeks post relaxer due to COVID and salon closures in Toronto where I live. I really don’t want to self relax so I’m doing any and everything to manage my hair until I can see my stylist. I’ve been using the Oribe oil for several years thanks to my stylist who recommended it. I started using S Curl a few months ago; I’m now using Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 instead - it’s just as good at softening new growth and it smells much better than S Curl.
@@sandraparker7915 Ok. The girls in my Style Domination Haircare Facebook group all swear by Hawaiian Silky. Imma order it!! And I HATE COVID. Doug Ford - come on, MAN!
I love listening to you talk lol I hope that's not creepy but you are just so captivating and very charismatic. You could be talking about garbage bags and it would sound great lol
Congratulations Dominique: hair looking better than ever, you looking flawless and hey, your sense of humor is getting better, so funny video!! Thanks!
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing. Because of your advice, I seal and moisturize every single nighy. My hair thanks you. I love the feminine pendant you have around your neck too. Be blessed.🤗❤
Happy Easter Dom! I tried the Mielle Mongongo oil hydrating conditioner for the first time after a light protein treatment (I'm stretching and now at 4 months!), and HUN-TEEEEE, let me tell you my hair is like BUTTER!!! I highly recommend it.
This video was so helpful. I would love to see "a week in my life of flat iron hair" video (i.e. from wash day to drying to flat iron to hydrating your flat iron hair up until you wash again). I'm assuming your weekly routine is different when you keep your hair in a bun (i.e. wash and go) versus when you wear your hair flat iron straight. Pretty please!!!! Or maybe you already have this video???
Hi 👋 I never use a serem before I see it a lot on RU-vid. I only use my hair milk avocado hair milk from Mielle, And I only use a dime size on each section of my hair and it pretty much allows my hair to breathe it's not really heavy and when I'm stretching I use my S curl activator. Tank you ever so kindly your hair is always beautiful and always together :) have a wonderful week God-bless you🤗🙏🏽❤
Thank you beautiful goddess! Yes, I was a little confused about the moisturizers but you cleared that up with this video. Thanks and so glad to hear from you!
Thanks to your videos I have gained confidence in taking care of my hair and I can see the benefits. Can you also post a video on how to curl hair? Thank you so much!
Hi Lisa! OH! What a compliment! Thank you! I am so glad my tips are helping your hair thrive! I’m blessed to have you here watching my videos too. And yes! I should update the curling video I did a few years ago!
You are freaking hilarious!! Helmet hair! Lol!! I use the Garnier Fructis (who came up w that name??) Sleek and Shine Anti- Frizz Serum w argan oil. I have fine hair and it doesn't weigh down my hair. My hair loves it! A tiny bit goes a long way. Bonus is its $5 at Target!
Thanks for this video. I was specifically looking for THIS info AND you popped up! Question: HOW do you handle keeping your flat-ironed/silk pressed hair from reverting in the shower?(???) 🤔🤔🤔
Thank you so much for clarification. I really wish I’d had this info when the pandemic started and the salons closed... lol! However, I learned by trial and error... I’d tried the moisture and seal and didn’t understand what I was doing wrong.... now I know... 😀😂😂 You are awesome to keep us well informed with great tips and lovely products... much appreciated!
Yes, this was needed and appreciated. I prefer my hair sleek versus air dried. So this was necessary. Also, what’s the quickest remedy for dry (not split) ends barring getting it cut?
I really needed to see this from you. It's absolutely fantastic and so, so, sooooooo helpful. I've been in a hair rut!! You look amazing. Thank you for this video. More like this please!!!
I really enjoyed this video. I learned a lot about using serums. One thing I do have to say, I have been using S Curl for moisture an coconut oil (the kind you cook with, there should be no fragrance noticed) for sealing for years on my relaxed flat ironed hair and have never had a problem with reversion. This has always been my staple. Could you be using enough to wet the hair? If so, it shoudn't revert, but just get curly.
Beautiful hair and make up. I've never used a serum before and I'll definitely get one of those. Can you show how you curled your hair in this video? Do you flat iron your hair every wash day?
What do you usually do when ever you want to workout with your relaxed hair? I feel as though the sweat builds up quickly on my relaxed hair and makes it feel strange! Any tips?? Help! :)
Hi Dominique, thank you so much for sharing this video♥️. Wishing you a blessed Easter. Is it possible that you could do a review on the Gisou hair product line? I saw that they have a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. I am 43 years young as well and have relaxed hair 1977 is a great year to be born😊😊
Hi Ramona! Funny you should ask!! I actually asked you guys in this video if you’d like me to review the rest of the Gisou line but cut it out for length purposes. Done!!! Stay tuned!!! Thanks for watching, Bella! 💕
I moisturize and seal once or twice before I wash my daughters hair. I alternate between flat wraps and satin foam rollers at night. I only flat iron once a week if I don't do a wet set.
Have you tried the Pureology Smooth Perfection Serum? I once received a sample of a Purology gel serum that was lightweight but made my hair super shiny and manageable!!! I can’t remember the name of the serum in the sample. It came out like a gel. Is that how the Purology Hydrate Shine Serum comes out? Or is it more like an oil? Thanks!!!
@@StyleDomination It was good as well! Time spent with family 😀 Since you travel 🧳 can you do a hair care travel video one day. Like what you bring and what to consider?
Hi Dominique. I didn’t see the link for the very last product, can you advise? I’ve been using the PM Skinny Serum, sparingly, and love it. Thx for your helpful content!
Hi there! I’m so sorry for that. After filming the video, I found out that Sephora doesn’t stock the dark spot corrector yet!!!! I’m really sorry for that. I hope they add it to their stock soon.
@@StyleDomination > Sorry, I meant the last hair product in the “jar” or “tub” shape. I have to go back & look at the name since I was in bed watching. Didn’t feel like pausing to write anything down! Oh well. Thanks anyway!
Hi beautiful! I’m having a hard time finding that indigo lustre glo. Any other products that work great on dry brittle nape hair (that won’t cause reversion)?
Hi Beatrice! I wouldn’t bother putting the S-Curl on your hair before flat ironing. Remember, it’s a curl activator. Don’t use oils on your hair before using heat tools. You can fry your hair. Just make sure the products you put on your hair don’t contain oils and that your hair is dry before using heat tools. ☺️☺️☺️
@@StyleDomination My question is if I start moisturising and sealing at night then I shouldn't be touching up my hair with heat tools for the rest of the week unless I wash it again? How usually wash my hair once a week and whatever heat I use on it then is all the heat but every once in a while am I have to curl it the 3rd of 4th day. One reason I haven't started m and sealing is I don't like heavy greasy hair and I might put heat on it before I wash it again.
@@beatrice2236 Do not use the S Curl and oils for moisturizing and sealing if you are flat ironing your hair. And you really shouldn’t be using heat tools daily. Use the serums to moisturize instead. And try out some heat free protective styles too!
@@StyleDomination oh no I don't use heat daily. In fact I hardly ever use heat at all because I am not good with the flat iron or curling irons, but every once in a while even though I wash my hair every week I might need to curl it on the 3rd or 4th day if I'm trying to do a particular style. Usually I will just use rollers at bedtime. Yeah in addition to time and laziness I don't think moisturising and sealing is for me. My hair seems to grow without it and is seldom dry.
Do serums have any water in them? I never used one and is wondering how they moisturize. This video was helpful, because I had been wondering what to put on my freshly relaxed and flat ironed hair. I don't be wanting to weigh it down too soon, but don't want it to dry out either! Thanks💕.
So what you're saying is that your hair is NOT relaxed. Am I correct because, relaxed hair does not revert back to curly. I'm surprised you would use S curl on your hair.
Enjoyed you as usual but you have got to be kidding me - are people really that naïve about hair products and how to take care of their hair? I don’t understand having to explain that but I always enjoy you Lady!
Some people like me haven't had a relaxer on over 25 years. There is so much more information available now. Try being a lil kinder, you never know what other people are going through or have experienced.
Thank you, Cheryl! To be honest...I was. That’s why my hair looked like trash a couple of years ago. You live - you learn. And the pandemic is agreeing with you, lady! You look stunning!
