This is a good song to listen to when you want to walk around looking cool. Sometimes I'm walking around looking cool with this in my headphones and people can't hear it but I bet they're thinking, "Wow he's looking pretty cool walking there, he must be listening to Lydia".

The fact she holds her breath the entire song in a single take is mind blowing.

Dancing with your ghost, the hungry shark, the only one who could talk to him just couldn’t swim, of course the line “I can’t fucking breathe much less believe the “truth”. Just hearing this in 2022. Timeless truth to the insecurities in your own head and overcoming your traumas here.

It's shot in realtime, and the entirety of its four-minute run time features an actress tied down at the bottom of a pool, trying her damnedest to break free. The first question you're probably asking yourself is, "How on earth can anyone hold their breath that long?!" Well, the actress in this video is actually world champion freediver Marina Kazankova. Here's TS&R to explain why she was the perfect choice for this production: Marina Kazankova, former freediving champion and world record holder, is best known underwater for her ‘dynamic breath hold’, or the ability to athletically move and exert energy while holding her breath. On land, Marina is also an actress and global traveler, speaking several languages (quadrilingual), and once we heard Marina could swim the length of almost four Olympic-sized swimming pools... on a single breath, we knew we had found our character. This song is such a core memory for me. My dad used to take us out riding around atl and we heard this song on the radio and my entire family fell in love with it. Reminds me of the times when things were okay but slowly started falling apart. Very bittersweet but somehow this song brought us all together.

Saw them live at The Cleveland Agora Ballroom recently, a 500 person capacity venue. Was a amazing show. They played for over two hours and put on a hell of a show. Better than I expected. Was a great night.

This video and the feeling the song invokes is the perfect parallel to a panic attack. I know because I just experienced them both at the same time. I'm gonna need a moment.

She does a great job acting. Unconscious going in, then a slow return to consciousness. The confusion about her situation at first. She instinctively looks up still not comprehending her situation. Then slowly her eyes pan over the ropes binding her arms and then her legs. Slowly (and that is the key) slowly it dawns on her. The panic first appears in her eyes. The disbelief. Then the slow panic that builds until she is almost free only to find that one more rope binds her. But she doesn't have anymore life left in her and the resignation of her situation. Love it.

This song is my life... i mean... it's my life. I dated an addict, I never was one, and this is a perfect metaphor for how it feels. It never stops and neither of you can breathe. That pool is the combined tears that are shed and it fills up a tank fast. You're looking for a plug to pull but you don't realize that there isn't one. The saddest thing is I finally had enough and left, but he never made it out :(. That was 7 years ago.
