I really love your videos. It's almost like going on long drive. I know that I would of never of been able experience the scenery that your videos provide. Your videos are educational and fun. Thanks!!
Thank you for another memory jogging video. Lived in Steamboat from Oct. 1966 to Apr. 1968. I was in high school then and did not appreciate all the snow. My dad was a champ at driving in the snow, he'd spent 6 years traveling CO, WY, NM, UT, selling seat covers to car dealerships. No radial tires, only bias-ply, usually retreads, with studs. I truly appreciate your skills.
Beautiful country. BTW, my wife has a 07 SRX. We live on some small acreage in east Tennessee and she jokingly calls it her estate wagon. She loves that car. Be safe out there
I delivered a bumper hitch single car hauling trailer to Steamboat. On Rabbit Ears my brakes got warm enough that I could smell them. That is the only pass I encountered during my time "pulling Feathers" that got my brakes that warm. Snoqualmie, Donner, Monteagle, Black Mountain, and Cabbage were never a problem. Why this one??? The trailer wasn't that heavy, it's brakes were properly set up, and I was it the proper gear. Going through it bobtail is a sweet treat. Ride the jake, keep the brake in reserve in case you have to stop for something. Gives you a little better chance to enjoy the view. Thanks for "loaded" ride ....
Hi Mike: nice ride, please remember the new Mike, it makes a lot of difference can hear much better with it in use. Looks as if the lake outside of Kremmling is staying full, unlike lake Mead. Road seems to be first class as well. Keep the videos coming,we enjoy them. Thanks, Edward
English oldtimer again. What a beautiful part of the country Mike. Can understand why you moved to Colorado from Cal. Real country, real people eh? Continue to enjoy your routes. I follow on my Delorme Atlas and Gazetteer, which ever State you are travelling thru. Relieving my visits. Peace.
Pay no attention to Austin you need the mic Mike!!!! It's been many years since I've been to Steamboat. My big bro lives in Walden. Thanks for the ride over Rabbit ears. Greeley only got 1/2 inch out of the storm.
I use to live out in steamboat springs until I had a accident. About 6-8 miles south of steamboat I hit black ice and went over the edge of the road. Walked away from the accident but was about 450 feet off the road. Because of my misunderstanding I moved back to MN. Now I Miss living out there.
MtnManMike~Wow! Nice Mornin to be in the Colorado Rockies! I've not been to Steamboat? "There's a storm across the Valley"! Aspens w/o their leaves! Thanks! Be Safe! Peace!
Ever get up towards Hayden/Craig? Thank you this BTW, just spread my Aunts ashes, over Rabbit Ears Pass. Due to health issue's, I couldn't make it. This is the next best thing.
