I'm paused at 3:11... that backup must be Friday Afternoon traffic with people leaving the GTA to either get home or go on a mini-vacation. I recall early 1990s driving on I-80 leaving the New York area to get to Buffalo; traffic would get backed up the last 3 or 4 miles before crossing into Pennsylvania and the Poconos.
6:47 in... Mississauga skyline? WOW! Some 30 years ago, I only recalled a few hi-rise apartment buildings, and the Square 1 shopping mall. Goes to show how long it's been since I've ventured towards Toronto. From that distance, I thought that maybe Toronto's downtown must've expanded quite a bit. Then again, Mississauga kinda looks like Chicago from there.
As a frequent near end to end driver of the ETR, I can tell you that a transponder is COMPLETELY worth it should you drive it frequently or end to end. If not, there are still...ways...around being billed.
Maybe because motorcycles aren't HIGH OCCUPANCY vehicles? Why should HOV lanes be used to give priority to a motorcycle carrying one person over a car carrying 2 or more?
