I don't think Ian Hislop was THAT negative against him, he just thought he couldn't really mock the scandals having been involved in one himself. Odd logic there.

Bison meat really is remarkably good for you. It's relatively lean, and what fat they have is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids. But that's only when they're not farm-raised. When they're raised like cattle, their meat is hardly different from beef.
Brits ignore the accent on Bichon Frisé and say it as if it were spelled freeze, just as they say café as if it were a calf. Of course fête is pronounced as if it were fate, and they try to never accent the last syllable, such as in Marie. I don't know if this is a case of familiarity breeds contempt. :)
