Which version do you like the most? I like neither of them lol, Takano is just cruel. All rights belongs to Higurashi. I do not own Higurashi. This is published for entertainment.
@@LISBONKULT The new show is good but in that respect it doesn't reach the same level of intensity. OG higurashi definitely is more creepy by a longshot. The emotions also feel more intense too.
Personally, the old version was slightly more terrible. Imagine Satoko knew she got her answer right & was about to feel relieved, then got shot anyway. At least in the new version her mind was still somewhat occupied with getting the right answer, which partially distracted her from death
Oh my- I guess the difference is they show how they died in the new one while the OG series they sometimes Censored it, Well Higurashi gou ain't giving you mercy :)
@@AndrewVasirov Well I would say that in recent episodes gou is much more terrifying than OG, like Rika with her insides out for half of episodes, and later on wataganshi ritual with Satoko doing original version of this ritual
@@artemisrayne Nah this scene hits different it is simple to add mindless gore but this scene in gou was meaningful whats more this was terrifyingly calm scene
The scene in gou is exactly as in the vn with Takano shooting Satoko before she says which one is correct So that makes Gou a sequel to the original story (?)
I just start the first Higurashi VN (free on Steam), and "broccoli vs caulif." is a bullshit notion Mion teases Satoko with It came really in handy as you can see
Probably because it's shorter and Takano acts sounds more villainous while killing and the victims sound more tense while the original nailed the expressions but the voice acting wasn't always on the right track.
Scene wise, not necessarily, but overall, yes. Though Gou was(or at least was planned to be) an anime original continuation of the original visual novel while the 2006 anime was rather condensed adaptation of the original story with minor changes and some parts left out for convenience. So if you want overall better quality in terms of storytelling(at least for season 1, the season 2 in my experience did not do a great job in making the more positive stories seem fit to follow the bleak stories of season 1) then watch the 2006 anime adaptation but if you want higher quality animation(though I personally prefer the 2006 season 1 animation since they nailed the expressions there) and higher quality voice acting(but not so good facial expressions) then Gou is where it's at. But if you want the enjoy the story at it's best, I'd recommend either the original visual novel or the manga(though the manga does change some minor details), Saikoroshi hen and then(if you're still interested) Gou and Sotsu.
Spoilers: Wait a second. Didn't they say that Satoko has to die AFTER Rika to have them both on the same fragment? Did she somehow survive after being shot? Or is that rule a lie and she can be on the same fragment regardless?
@@rdlmusic9106 that Satoko overcome her weakness of asking help and not keeping her feelings to herself but still died... Gou Satoko is the one who didn't overcome that weakness since Teppei didn't come back in that loop where Rika defeated faith
@@alexiscando5709 Well damn! I never thought of it that way before. It seems the author really has been planting seeds for Gou since the original; the fact that he's bringing back these old unanswered topics like Teppei being cut out from the final loop (I mean, it was probably because Hanyuu used more of her power, but it was still strange how they built Teppei to be this threat and have him not appear at all in the breakthrough loop) and Keiichi remembering events from previously loops (only for it to never happen again, at least not to that extent) for Gou's story makes it seem like a genuine sequel instead of a cash-grab most "revivals" of old franchises are.
