Hijab dispute in Singapore 

I’m about to say the same thing bro. Singapore lauded for freedom of speech, expression, practicing religion and yet oppressive the Muslim to practice their religion right.

@@azuwan No, you dipshits. They are free to practice their religion, but they cannot use their religion as an excuse to force other people to make changes to fit their religious needs. If faith cannot allow Muslims to serve alcohol, then Muslim shouldn't go work in bars, but they have no right to tell non-Muslims that they can't serve alcohol in their bars, or that they must hire Muslims and then make changes to suit those Muslim employees. Likewise, Non-Muslims shouldn't be able to go to Halal restaurants and force the Muslim owner to make non-halal food on the menu, simply because they like those food, or they have an issue with how animals are slaughtered, if they don't like it or can't comply with it, they need to find other restaurants. If Muslims cannot wear a uniform of a workplace because it is not compliant to their faith, they can try persuading the workplace to come up with a uniform that complies with their faith, if for whatever reason the workplace cannot or deems it unsuitable, then the Muslim need to consider other jobs, you can't force other people to always be compliant with you. Besides, not all Muslims wear the Hijab, so I'm sure non-Hijab wearing Muslim will get the job if their qualifications match. Singapore is not banning Islam or whatever, it's just certain jobs have certain requirements, if you can't meet the requirements, you're not going to be selected, there will be other job opportunities for you.

Hair must be covered for Women as a code of Modesty if they are in public places, wear niqab. Men have been asked to wear modest clothes as well. A women should do veil in public places that's the rule of the book, Quran. And it doesn't interfere with her daily task of public places, if she covers her hair. Khadijah R.A, the 1st wife of Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him was a business-women and she observed modest clothing as per Quran. There is concept of Men of the Family and Non-family in Islam. The beauty you are talking about is only for her husband and not anyone else. There shouldn't be an issue. In the past up to the early 90s, the malays in Malaysia or Singapore did not wear the hijab or tudung. Malay women wore the selendang back then. This case was not an issue back then but an issue now because my malays culture forgotten their culture and now turning into Arabs instead.

Things like this are happening in Malaysia too. You might not believe it because it's technically a Muslim majority country, and supposedly Muslims are the majority in the government too. But believe it or not, this still happens in non-government companies where non-Muslim Chinese are the hirers (I never heard this sort of thing happens where the hirers are non-Muslims of other ethnicity). I hate to make it to sound like a "racial thing" and to blame it on just one race, but that's what has been happening here at least. It has happened to my sister and to my closest friends. It happens in small companies and the bigger ones. Back in 2014 the daughter of local celebrity (Rosyam Noor) was asked not to wear hijab if she wanted to work at Hamleys. This went viral because it was a celebrity's daughter. But if it was just an average Jane with no celebrity dad, it would just go unnoticed and denied if confronted. It's sad.
