Another skill you might consider if you have a thief in the same party is Unfailing Speed. It deals damage to all enemies, lowering their shield points by 1 and raises the parties speed for 2 turns. You can find it in Merry Hills, to the left of the shrine entrance.
@@Dogasus From Montwise gate, exit the town and head south you should see some festival props when near the character is in the north section of the town, to the left
Yeah the reality is all these 1 hp builds are just win more/gross overkill and at worst force you run around in a weakened state that could go south if you are tripped up by some sort of trick. Such as Bosses sometimes lock out skills so I don't like being a 1 trick pony/glass canon. You can make Hikari wreck the game with far less investment way earlier in the game. If you unlock merchant, with boost start and fullpower, you can just spam his lament power at lvl 3 and wipe the floor with 90% of the enemies in the game which trivalizes combat.(bring Tenemos and Throne for greater advantage at night.) It doesn't require refilling SP, being at 1 hp, or using any specific secondary job/weapon. You get full special attack every new fight and should have enough firepower win immediately, or rest your team should be able to finish the job. The bosses in this game honestly get grinded up pretty quickly without resorting to 1 hp builds. May be the secret/final bosses justify this level of force(I've yet to face them as I'm working my way up to it.), but everything I've faced dies extremely quickly without using any of this. For other 99% of the game you will be burning alot of Sp and needing sit at 1 hp when plenty of more flexible and reasonable options exist.
The problem with this video(and many others) is people giving builds for when you are already done with all challenges of the game. Mythical Bore entire purpose for example is to get it early and safely annihilate a duel or boss you wouldn't be able to in any other way and get some new equip piece/skill earlier than you should have it. It's a big carry for majority of the game if you use all your SP nuts on Hikari(you should anyway as Hikari is probably the only one who really needs more SP) It's fully safe unlike sitting at 1 HP which is only safe once you can one shot without breaking. Not to mention having to set yourself to 1 HP means either wasting time on the skill mentioned in the video or annoying steal grind of forbidden potions. You also can't use AoE heal during the strategy so it's literally designed with 1 turn finish in mind. When it works - it's nice but problem is that it starts working super late. Heck, it's much faster to just fully restore SP than trying to survive with 1 HP before you can 1 turn win confidently. Generally the key Hikari skill progression is: 3-5 hit spear/axe skills from tier 2 towns for breaking + default nuke or limiter nuke for damage > Lionheart axe skill(does 2 hits but each is massive damage) and alternatively the EX skill eventually > Limb - a potential 400k but by time you realize this potential you are kinda done with the game and there is hardly anything to use this on. Basically for this to be better than lionheart axe you need to reach a total of 50k damage per hit. Assuming you overprepare it's doable but you honestly never really need to bother with this.
Warriors Blade is similar to Limb from Limb but it hits 3 times instead and it also buffs his phys attack for 3 turns. Bandelam has it. You can find him atop a hill near the Crackridge anchorage.
Warriors blade is better than limb for limb for most of mid and early Late game until you really start to hit that 100k cap in which limb to limb is objectively better
If you want any of these skills way before you should probably have them then throwing bottled nightmares and poison/sleep dust buyable from the black market at them which will slowly kill them aslong as you don't wake them up or let it wear off, some initial luck needed to have sleep stick one turn 1 but from there you just keep throwing pocket sand.
Hornets' Nest is a pretty good skill too. It deals Bow, Dagger, and Polearm (x3) damage to a single target. It's good for reducing shields, especially with Sealticge's Seduction. You can get it in New Delsta from the Tutor, the same one that has a 2% drop rate for the Battle-Tested Bow.
In terms of Ochette, any level 10 monster fits these criteria however it should be stated that all level 10 monsters are one use per fight. This includes the story-based summons(Cataracta, Tera and Glacis). My personal choices would be Dreadwolf(4-hit all knife attack with stat debuff), Battle-Worn Shark(1-hit all knife attack and you heal HP and SP based on dmg and 1 BP), and Scourge of the Deep(1-hit single staff attack that breaks 6 shield no matter what). Now there is a glitch based around Ochette's story EX skill, Provoke Beasts, that utterly decimates the balance of the game. You can use all the level 10 monsters however much you want and can be used multiple times during a single turn. Whether you use it or not is up to you and your standards. Its pretty well known so a simple google search will do the trick.
for me in the beginning I have Hikari learn Deep Analysis this is so good until in end game content other is Limb from limb as the video say this skill is OP combine with Dancer Divine skill this skill is broken after gain Alpione amulet I replace Deep analysis with Last Grasp for damage(1 HP Hikari is god of Physical Damage) other three is Divine Protection(used in during late game during last story boss fight and change to Sentencing Gavel in the end game) Merciless Blade(use during farm rare monster and change to Boost from beyond in the end game) and fatal fang this skill with Dancer Blade give a lot of debuff to enemy I like it.
Love the video :) 0:40 Last Gasp Problem with the 1 hp.... that is also single use. Or you need to 1st prep for a 100% barrier/deflect. 1:49 Limb for Limb 2:32 sentencing gavel 2:59 shield thief 3:30 Boost from beyond. L4L and BFB lets you hit 5 times for 99999. That will send Galdera running for its mother. Now to figure out how to do 99k. For some reason I am stuck at 40, 50k.
Boost From Beyond is a great way to get Hikari into that low hp/high damage state. But apart from that, it's pretty useless as other characters can easily boost the entire party without little to no consequence.
Theres no need to get that skill. You can just lose on a duel with Hikari and he’ll leave himself with 1 HP. Just go to the judge in tiberian and he’ll do it for u. Really simple
Consider this setup: - Hikari, Agnea, Dancer Throne, and a cleric all start with Step Ahead - Hikari uses BfB to maximize his party members' BP - Agnea uses Lion Dance with a BP-granting ally on Hikari - Throne uses her latent and simultaneously gives Hikari the Dancer's divine and lowers the main enemy's defense - The cleric gives Hikari the Cleric's divine so he can act again at the end of the turn - Hikari uses Limb From Limb / etc at near-maximum potential to all enemies on Turn 0
They are definitely nice skills but not as OP as you're making them out to be. Since your stats that are used for these skills are at stat cap it makes a poor demonstration for people trying to build characters.
I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but the skill Right hook (which I believe is from the guy guarding the chests in the casino in New Delsta backstreet) is a decent alternative to shield thief! It costs a little less sp and cannot be charged for more breaks, but it’s decent for duels!
Is there some kind of condition or quest that must be completed or not completed for that guard to be in Montweiss? I've not seen him and I've completed everyone's chapters.
how do you always deal max dmg like that. I use setup boost atk and debuff defense of enemies and use the same setup as you but i can barely do good dmg
I see the 1 hp and 9999 hp skill that is used with you last gasp / alpiones amulet, what is the name of that skill (for the 1 hp and 9999) and where do you find it ?
honestly Ive been testing some magic skills lately and they mostly seem not great. I like Compound Formula which does a fire, dark, and light attack all at once to all foes.
Why do you need both the BT blad and the Giant's club to deal max damage for skills like Limb for Limb? Wouldn't it only look at the p. atk on your equipped sword since it's a sword skill?
The BT blade and Giant's club have an Equip Effect (not an Attack Effect) that raises the potency of all physical skills for simply having them equipped. This is also the case for weapons that raise the potency of magic attacks.
both increase all physical damage by 30%, and both stacks, thats a massive 60 % damage increase, combined those with finisher's claw accesory which increase critical hit damage i think around 25 to 30% and alpione's amulet which inrease damage the less your health are, at 1 health, it gives 100% physical damage boost. then there are passives that can increase damage boost even further. add all these and u can easily deal 99999 4 times with limb from limb without any buffs or debuffs against bosses and use sentencing gavel for 99999 3 times AOE in normal fights, last gasp for farming battle tested stuffs, merciless blade for farming caits and octopuffs, boost from beyond, mythical bore, frenzied fire, shield thief, fatal fang and many other more are uncessary tbh once u have limb from limb, sentencing gavel, last gasp and merciless blade. though like he said, boost from beyond is perfect set up anyway.
I think I was around lvl 50? In good gear he only hits you around 800 to 1000 with his skills and last gasp for him doesn't get stronger as the fight drags out so its not exactly a 'rush to beat him' fight
Oh noes, not all my SPs. Ochette: max boost, Provoke Beasts, activate latent, deactivate latent, Provoke, Battle-Worn Shark x3, three other summons. Party regains all HP/SP / 3 BP. Ochette (without exploit): max boost, Provoke, Battle-Worn Shark. Party regains significant HP/SP / 1 BP. Castti: max boost, activate latent, Medicinal Concotion, Plum Leaf x4 + Strengthening Serum. Hikari regains 800 SP. anyone: throw a Refreshing Jam at Hikari. Hikari regains all HP/SP. Farmable item.
Reason why sp draining works for temonos is because with an sp regen accessory he can recover almost all his sp next turn on a broken foe using mystical staff i think where as hikari struggles to regain sp right?
1HP Strat are usually All-In. You need kill Boss before he attack. Usually you setup a party with Cleric Divine that allows act again at end of turn. Skill Step Ahead for ALL members to setup the initials buffs. A members with Shield Break skills.(Ochette is the best as she can summon 6monsters at the same turn) And a Crit Guaranteed skill like Inventor Crítical Scope or Dolcinea assistente skill that Hikari can learn. With this setup you can almost single turn everything.
just break boss in first turn, use Head start and Agnea wind skill or Ochette net skill to prolong this. This will give you enough turn to break boss and save enough BP for hikari. Or use Patitio BP boost to hikari to finish the job🎉
Frenzied Fire Bow Skill and Merciless Blade sword skill are also great skills for Hikari. Merciless Blade is a guaranteed hit on any enemy for 3000 damage unboosted. It never misses and is great against Caits and Octopuffs since you can hit them with that skill. Frenzied Fire hits 5-8 times on all foes for bow damage and is I believe the best bow skill he can get. My setup is Sentencing Gavel, Last Gasp, Limb for Limb, Merciless Blade, Frenzied Fire. I did have Mythical Bore early on and I used that skill to farm the skills I wanted and got rid of that last once i had all the skills I wanted. I might switch out Frenzied Fire for Shield Thief though as I like the idea of having a skill to automatically break shield points
So basically you're telling me that you have to be at 1hp to emulate the damage that Mythical Bore can do with zero setup? "Look at what they need to do to mimic a fraction of our power" 😂
Both are the same i think. Yes last gasp doesn't need sp, but 1 hp means easy to die. Mythical bore empty your sp so you can't use skill anymore till you replenish your sp. Terms of dmg i think last gasp still better, but terms of survivability mythical bore is better.
@@ragnarok5652 You can let Hikari die and revive with 1 HP at a convenient moment. Then load up with BP and go at it again. There is also the chubby cait that grants immunity. So there are ways to navigate around that 1 HP, And there are only a few monsters where this is needed: 4 times 99k kills almost everything.
Depends, how much money do you have to spend? Don't want to spend any money, then level 9 enemies would probably need level 45 Hikari minimum. If you are low level with shit tons of money, you will need a lot of Bottles of Nightmare to keep the enemy asleep and poisoned.
"It miss a lot" isn't drawback at all, this move combine with BT bow you get a free def down+ breaking enemy with bow weakness. Good learned skill doesn't always have to deal high dps at all.
@nick-en3ct The only other character who might want accuracy seeds is Ochette and hers is pretty high naturally. Just dump all your seeds on Hikari and he'll rarely miss with that skill.
Maybe I’m being too sensitive, but that intro was a bit harsh. This community is awesome, so let’s not spread unnecessary negativity. With that out of the way; your videos an content are awesome an inspire me to start making content. Keep up the good work! Much respect.
I wouldn't recommend shield thief & rather have one character dedicated to this like Ochette with her summon 6 pets skill, if you don't care about playing fair, you can glitch her to summon 6 pets EVERY turns (3 of them being the shark) Problem is, she will heal your Hikari to max HP every turn so it doesn't synergize with 1HP tactics
@@OhRichard dunno if your being sarcastic or not, I'm kinda hitting a wall in the mid game. Most of my party is mid 20s some of my more used characters are in the 30s. My starter is level 40.
@Fahrenheit38 actually he is correct using mythical bore is a great way to easily beat these npcs to get the skills. After depleting ur SP use revitalizing jam to fully restore health BP and sp and do a fully boosted mythical bore if they are still alive after the first one. Most of the NPCs will go down after one or two. At most I think I had to use it 3 times to beat an NPC. Mythical Bore is a great way to farm skills
learn one of the multiple hit skill like 3-5 spear/dagger/bow that hit his weakness, then save 3BP and unleash Ultimate Grand. Or use the revenge skill on hikari to do the same
His chapter 2 skill (Divine Dual Edge, hits all enemies twice with a strong sword attack) is decent for early to mid game. And since he has very high PATK, the move will still do good damage in a pinch on enemies that aren't weak to swords, especially max boosted. I managed to bruteforce several of the tougher story bosses from other characters' chapters with him just spamming that skill every turn.
Thing is, I'm not... I wanna know what to do, but I also am just enjoying playing the game so far. I am only on Ch3 with everyone, save for Ch4 with Hikari and Osvald.
Very bad takes & advice here. For such a short video, you managed to squeeze in a lot of errors & misinformation. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT listen to any of this.
