@Godzilla just re-watched a video a couple hours ago of him practicing with hikaru a long time ago and he has improved so much, it's kind of crazy and super cool. I didn't even know, he still played chess off-stream because, he rarely plays it on stream anymore.

Nah xqc is so random and a living content machine, Whatever he plays it's always fun to watch him since he's not bad, but he's not good either, he rages in hilarious ways and actually has pretty real reactions unlike 90% of streamers on twitch, Sure he do be a lil sus at times like getting so mad he starts speaking alien language and then proceeding to shit his pants but yea it really is random he can either be an absolute god at what he's doing or being an absolute pepega at what he's doing and thats why its always fun to watch him, first streamer or content creator i can watch for hours and hours and never be bored
Yes exactly! I'm a similar elo 900 and could see Bb4 as well as the final king move, but it took me a while to process g5 and is something I wouldn't have thought of myself in game. xQc's bot level on the chess app is rated at 1200, and this game definitely feels more like 1200 vibe rather than 900! The first time I had an opportunity to checkmate with my king, it was a 10 move sequence that included capturing the opponent's queen after a promotion and luckily my opponent didn't resign immediately after that happened. I definitely won't forget my reaction to the moment I won with Kxg3# when I did that.

What you said in your comment would be like saying "Mr. Beast is a Twitch streamer with 10k live viewers" rather than calling him the king of RU-vid with nearly 100m subs. Basically, its inaccurate and severely underplays who they actually are.
I beat xqc on rapid with the Sicilian a few nights ago. It was so random I couldn’t believe it. It was late Canadian time and he blundered his knight early in the middle game. He just stopped playing after that and I won. It was definitely surreal. It will be a moment I’ll never forget.

Pawn c5 at 1:15 wins either the knight or the bishop, utilizing checks, and there's not a single way out of it for the opponent. God I wish he played that line would have been amazing.
