Hikaru takes an arrow to the knee and a bullet to the solar plexus in the next in Tricks Only as he has to resort to endgames for many of these after he recovers from the Tricky openings. Hikaru Nakamura speedruns to 3000 rating with openings with traps and tricks in them - This speedrun includes openings such as The Grob, Benko Gambit, Blackburne Shilling Gambit, Portuguese Gambit, Jerome Gambit, Englund Gambit and Nakhmanson Gambit, Benoni, Smith-Morra, Ponziani, Hippo, Fried Liver, and Danish Gambit

It would be cool to see hikaru play 20 games with each of the possible first moves. No specific order, so if he's black he can respond with whatever as long as it hasn't been used as white or black.

This is brilliant. He should do 1. A3, 1. a4, 1. B3, ..., nf3, nh3 all 20 down the line and repeat. However, draw or loss means he had to repeat that same one until the win. That would be fun to watch and original!!!

18:21 is rxe5 strong because since rxf3 is met by rxd7 threatning a back rank skewer while your rook is hanging on f3. And rd6 gives up the bishop so bd6 is forced

God bless the spectator(I’d assume grandpa) and I can totally relate because my gramps would be the same way but please talk less 😂😂 adults sometimes talk way too much when a kid is learning the art of whatever sport it is he’s playing and it’s so frustrating 😂 I’m sure the kid didn’t mind and I’m likely just having a lil ptsd from little league right now 😂😂

In the past chess was one of the most boring sport to watch, but Hikaru makes it so entertaining that i went to youtube to watch almost all his videos.
