A castle with History
The history of the castle goes back to the 14th century when it was a customs castle. In the 17th century the castle fell into ruins until Prince Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig of Prussia acquired it in 1823 and had it rebuilt in the spirit of Rhine Romanticism. Through inheritance, the castle remained in the possession of the Hohenzollern family until 1975. In 1975 the Hecher family acquired Rheinstein Castle.
