Hikes and Walks Around Richmond, VA: T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge 

The T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge spans the James River in downtown Richmond, VA. It's open to pedestrians and bicyclists. It not only provides spectacular views of the rapids of the James River, it also connects the flood wall walking/bike trail to Brown's Island and the Canal Walk. With this bridge, you can create walking or bicycling loops that include Belle Isle or the flood wall trail, Mayo Bridge, and Canal Walk.The bridge is about 1/3 miles long.
