Omgoodness Emma, this is the most surreal scenery I've seen yet in your videos. I can't even begin to thank you enough, for going the distance, and taking us along with you❤That scenery was so serene,it almost looked like either a painting,or,a movie set.The painting idea went out the window, when I saw you walking through the scenery 😊You are phenomenally skilled Emma,God Love you dear heart, keep on keeping on,please
I had 2 encounters with Mtn lions. In 2018 I was hiking by Clinton Gulch Reservoir in Colorado above Leadville. I had one Mtn lion following me for 1/4 mile. Every time I would stop, he would stop but kept on stalking me. I had my 9mm on my hip and rip bag of ghost pepper powder on my neck but I was still freaking out. The are so fast I doubt I would get my gun out in time. I know the pepper would save me but I would get torn up pretty good. Rip bag is small plastic bag filled with hottest pepper powder hanging on your neck with shoestring. When you have the nice kitty on your back, pull to rip it and smear it in his face. Pepper sprays are too directional, you'll never hit his eyes or mouth, especially when you're down and he's biting your neck. Simple 1oz $2 baggie will save your life and you never feel it on your neck. I wear it all the time.
As an RN like Emma, but also as a mom watching the beautiful videos filmed by this sweet, independent and inspirational girl, I wanted to post, as you did, to not chance an unprepared encounter with a mountain lion or bear (mountain lions especially at sunrise and sundown) or to be honest, risk possibility of lightning on a rainy day and swimming in a lake. Great pepper-in-a-bag tip! It might work against a human attacker, too, if you kept your own eyes tightly shut for protection! Oh and Emma, could decision to not hike too far in the heat without sufficient water, regardless of the number of miles :)
@@NMV-ej4zd Almost all Mtn Lion attacks are by surprise where victim never saw or heard anything. They get knocked down from behind and the cat clamps down on neck and head. These cats leap 40 feet when they strike. Bear spray can get knocked out, it's got safety clip that has to be removed and then has to be sprayed in proper direction. It has to hit Mtn Lion's nose or eyes otherwise it's useless. Great for loud bears or moose but not for mtn lions. These cats are way too stealthy. They move silently, blend in and attack from behind. Thin sandwich baggie with 2oz of red pepper in the one corner, twisted up and tied with shoelace creates nice tight little pouch hanging on the neck that is easy to rip by pulling, giving you handful of red pepper in your hand. You can always reach behind and rub it in cat's face. One inhale and the burn will stop anything in the biggest rage. Plus, it's always there on your neck even around camp where you're just chilling. Big spray gets left behind too many times.
That view when you went just a little further was INSANE! My jaw dropped, that was breathtaking even when through a screen like this. What a great video Emma 💛🌿
Hi Emma ✌🏼. I was glad you turned around 9:22. I started to get very nervous with all the loose rocks and gravel and the Trail getting more narrow. Emma, You looked beautiful no matter what you wear. Your videos are exciting. Thank you for taking us on a beautiful adventure 👏🏼 ❤✌🏼🙏🏼
The synergy between your beautiful energy, vocals and music amongst the gorgeous scenery and journey has me welling up in emotion and tears. So very deep. An amazing creator. Thank you Emma🙏🏼💜
😁 💞 I think this one can be almost rated Best Place to Hike in the USA 🎉....I know several people who run extra miles after an illness, it works to flush out...your subtitles and music 🎶 are perfect viewing....Sleep Well!!
Wow! I would never see anything like this if it weren't for you! Thank you so much for taking us on your adventures and sharing the spectacular footage! What a life you have!❤
I love watching your adventures! I would give anything to live like you do and see all those amazing places. Thank you for sharing life. Keep doing what you love doing!
LOL.. " Now that I'm here, I just want to see what's over there..." 😂 that statement has gotten me in alot of trouble over the years, but also uncovered so many beautiful things. It was cool to see you work that out!!
You're a blessed young lady! Stay alert! Be safe! God bless! Thank you for sharing! I'm 61 and will never get to do what you are doing except in eternity when heaven comes back to earth.
I love your music its soooo calming, your voice is so beautiful, and enchanting the way you make your music! Thank you! I enjoy watching your videos as well of course. Have a great day! Sue
"The mountains are calling, and I must go." - John Muir. Such an amazing place to feel so overwhelmed by majestic mountain vistas and views that continue to impress. So glad to see you set a new day hike distance record, especially after your illness. 😊 In the hike to the top of mountains, there are 2 outcomes: either you pass, or you fail. You passed once again Emma! 🥾 Proud of your achievements. 🏆
We are all glad that you are much better. You're a fighter - the world loves a fighter. You just so cool. Stay the Course. Cheyenne. Part time van lifer and professional commercial truck driver....
Emma on that hike you could definitely do it just need a backpack tent a food water it could be a done it would be a beautiful hike thanks for sharing emm in joy stay safe ❤
Gorgeous video, Emma! I did a similar van trip last year. Glacier NP was my fav place, too. The key was entering the park every day before dawn. No lines, no tourists and seeing the sunrise there was beyond words... pure magic! 💚🗻💚
I’m so glad this video popped up in my feed! My family is planning a trip to Estes park Colorado next summer so I was already thinking about the mountains and then I saw this video. I used to do hiking every summer in Rocky Mountain national park and the amazing views when you made it to the top brought me way back. The mountains are so beautiful. Thank you for taking us with you!
Wow, you’re so inspiring and fearless. Love seeing you just go for it. Not sure I could do those things by myself. Love your life, girl! Keep going! See you on Ted Talks soon
Another amazing video Emma! Love Your editing style and your original songs are so beautiful and fit your hike perfectly! Can't wait for more!! Keep kicking a$$! 👍😊
Another memorable video Emma….. Excellent as usual. Wonderful music and images. Also…if your hike is 18 miles based on the signage and distance markers, I bet you add 10% with your backtracking to get your camera. Way to go!
Get up and do the darn thing, doesn't it just suck when that mind set kicks in should I shouldn't I, lol. Your song thru that flowery meadow was just so beautiful and flowing really. Emma your outfit on point for the hike just the right amount of clothing for the weather. Good call on calling it quits on the amount of water you had on hand, better safe than sorry. The hike back down thru the narrow trail with tree line forest at least thru the lens looked a bit bear'ish and mt lion'ish. great walk, Thanks for Sharing.
Another terrific video, Emma. A bucket-list hike for me. I've been planning a fall hike for several years. And well worth that extra few miles! When I watch you skipping down that little hill towards the end all I can think about is you having to head back up to retrieve the camera...
Awesome Views !! Is that bear spray ? Do you carry a firearm just in case ? I’m headed to Yosemite half dome soon. I can’t wait I been to Yosemite and just plan on exploring more for a few days. I think it will be my longest hike and I’m excited !!😆
Stunning scenery, thanks for the video. Am so glad we don’t have mountain lions in Australia. By the way what was that little creature that ran in front of you in the rocky section up the top?
Wow, super gorgeous hike! Glad you didn't run into any mountain lions.😊 Hey was that your broken/fixed tripod? So I guess the fix worked? FYI, there's no such thing as a goofy hiking outfit. 😊 Um, was that your music? 🤔
The duct tape remains on the tripod LOL I cant believe you remembered It was my music!! Thank you for validating my outfit choices lol hiking is kinda ugly sometimes
@@Emma-and-BusBus to be honest, I think it's the first time I've heard your music. 😁 Your voice is LOVELY! Really fit the mood. Sometimes people forget, it's not about the fancy gear or clothes (as long as you have what you need). Safe travels!
I ❤ you but you got build up physically girl! Especially where you are (been there done that area! It is crazy beautiful, yes!) I am up to 39 miles in one day, but I was training in soft sand, not hard tack trail like what you got! You probably have elevation gains up and down.. Probably a great workout!!😅
I dont have my music anywhere other than youtube, you’re free to screen record or extract an MP3 from YT if you want to but I have no formal options for downloading, apologies :(
wouldn't it be cool on a warm or hot day to just be able to fly over to one of those big snow patches and lay in there and cool off don't know if that's you playing the keyboard but very good very nice
I'm a seasoned hiker and I think you need a pedometer your millage is greatly over estimated, particularly seeing how many times you have to set up your camera catching yourself coming and going,NO WAY!
