When I saw that you were going to be hiking in the Tetons, I said to myself, "I hope Brie sees this. She posted that nice video about her climbing experience there." Awesome that you saw the same video! It looks like an amazing place. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Beautiful Sceneries! I love to see all the different trails and hiking areas of America and I am always looking forward for a new video of yours. Greetings from Germany!
I would highly recommend doing this sometime early June, when the alpine still has a lot of snow. It's such different scenery and the views are superb! Great video
Woaaaah! Can't wait to get home and watch it. Just filmed a hike myself some days ago, and watching this is gonna be a HUGE inspiration while editing. As always, thank you Kraig ❤
Man his videos are always a source of inspiration. Gonna be checking your videos out man, great to see we’re all hopping on this hiking and filming thing as a community!
@@Lebbz I totally agree with you, it's so awesome to see how many people he's inspiring and pushing out there to hike, film, or just to enjoy nature in some way.
6:05 A-HA!! So glad I found this channel. Just finished binge watching all your hiking videos in a few days. Great job Kraig and thanks for sharing these with us! Hope to see you on the trail someday.
The Teton's are one of my favorite places I've been. Such a beautiful mountain range. They're very rugged and the way they tower over the valley below is breathtaking.
Shout out to Kraig for being such an inspiration. I stumbled upon his videos during quarantine and binged watched every single one. I was amazed and felt compelled to do this. I wanted to be in the mountains all alone. I decided to take the leap and just do it. I created my own hiking alone video in the great state of Colorado all shot on a Go Pro. You don't have spend thousands of dollars to turn your idea into a reality. It was the most satisfying thing I have ever done. You are changing people's lives with your work. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you so much for this video Kraig !! I have to tell you that it's not just a hiking, it's also a spiritual journey. Your vision is so aesthetic. It's so amazing to follow you in the nature. Thank you !!!
WOW. Just incredible man. I LOVE that it's just calm music throughout, no commentary or anything. I cannot wait to explore the Grand Tetons. Thank you for making this, it reminds me so much of my homeland New Zealand.
I did that in three days but not the valley section. It was 27 miles south to north, parking lot up Death Canyon to Cascade Canyon down to Jenny Lake. Was fun to watch each of those places I hiked just last month. Hiking early morning was awesome with no people on the trail, only marmots, a porcupine and a bull moose. Special place indeed!!
When you were washing your legs on the stream, that amazing back lit of the sun lighting up the flower bush was sooooo pretty. I notice the details of your compositions and I just love it!!!
We have been enjoying your hiking videos sooooo much during the past few months! In fact, you have been an inspiration and a problem solver for us! I am a librarian with the Forsyth County Public Library system in Georgia and it was your wonderful sponsor Storyblocks that enabled us to create the virtual elementary program, "Where in the World is Mr. Moose?"! Our first episode aired Sept.1 and although we only have 50+ views on RU-vid, we have had over 1,000 views through Facebook! It means so much to be able to provide fun and educational programs to our young patrons, especially now when our face-to-face contact is limited. Thank you again for your fabulous videos and creative inspiration, you just never know what kind of crazy project you're helping!
Kraig! Would love a 10 hour montage of all your recent hikes, just the parts with the hikes and background noises and the music. I could keep those on all day while working from home. Okay, thanks! 😁
Building, electricity and heaters are great. But sometimes I wish I could’ve lived a more natural life , where people’s eyes weren’t glued to a cellphone , and people met and talked to each other in person . Wilderness seems like a foreign thing to us now . I know it isn’t the glamorous peaceful illusion of lifestyle some would have us believe, but at least we were actually living, not just existing to work a job we don’t like or produce anything meaningful in . It’s so rare to be able to find time to feel the sun and the wind on my skin in today’s world . Thank you for sharing all this amazing videos ♥️
I can't express myself, how much I love your work! I am glad that I found your channel a year ago. My dream would come true if I could hike with u once in the future. If this pandemic stuff will be ended, you must check out some Central European places, for example, High-Tatras and Triglav National park. In addition, I am curious about how do you have always good weather? (I usually don't when I hike.) Best wishes buddy! Greetings from Hungary!
We just spent 10 days up in Yellowstone and Grand Teton a couple weeks ago. We absolutely loved it up there, especially Grand Teton. We hiked some of the smaller hikes like the Bradley-Taggart Lake loop and Cascade Canyon out and back. Stunning views wherever you look and tons of wildlife. Your videos have really inspired my wife and I to start hiking into the parks instead of just seeing the sights from the turnouts. Keep up the great work man!
Being in California and surrounded by smoke and wildfires, seeing the beautiful scenery made me forget about that for awhile. Been to the Tetons and Yellowstone several times.
We don't have guns here so I made myself a wood over vest so that anything happens he won't be able to hurt my vital parts and I'll still be able to paint spray him in the eyes and nose
Thanks for the inspiration! I'm planning a "moto-camping" trip now, where I ride out on a motorcycle, park/secure the bike, backpack, and ride back. STUNNING!
I too had this question. Mountain lions too.. they'll see a solo hiker as a tasty snack, dude has balls. There's no way I'd go out there without a handgun, preferably in 45. Acp or higher. At least a knife.. or hatchet
Grizzlies/ brown bears have returned to the Lower 48 over the past 20 years or so, first to Glacier National Park and now in Yellowstone and also I think in the Tetons. The danger would be mostly from encounters along the trail which can be avoided by making some noise/ talking/ wearing bear bells while you're hiking. The odds are really low on having a violent encounter but I would agree, solo backpacking requires some grandes cojones 😬
The most magical place in the country imo. I love grand teton and it's the reason why I'm getting a tattoo of the Teton mountains on my arm. Nothing like Wyoming Kraig. Come back soon.
The Shot @ 4:52 bro is straight out of a movie , u can write a whole Scene , Keep doing good work , your videos comes me down, and is sooo needed right now
Did a longer version of this trail about 39 years ago. Amazing how small schoolhouse glacier is now. Brought tears to my eyes from the memories. Thanks.
Same memories for me also. Hiked Paintbrush Canyon and traversed the snowdrifts in 1978 on a cross country motorcycle trip. Meeting a 70 year old woman hiking the high country with her grandson made an everlasting impression on me, hope to repeat the hike this summer on my 68th birthday. Thanks for the video, I can still recognize some parts of the trail
Nice video. I cut my teeth in the Tetons, learned to climb at Exum, hiked/ climbed up Teewinot and Storm and Ice Peaks and Durrance Ridge. Tried for a loop but ran out of steam about a third of the way and turned back. Always enjoyed the Teton "tea" at the climber's campground sing alongs at Jenny Lake! Close encounter with a black bear there, trying to get at the salami in my backpack. Lesson learned: hang your food! ( this was 1963).
My son and I did some of Grand Teton last year. The most beautiful place I have ever been! The scenery is so unbelievable it doesn't even look real in person! I can't wait to go back!
Kraig, This video inspired my girlfriend and me to do this hike as the last one on an 7 week national park trip out west. One of the best experiences of my life and a top three hike for me for sure. Thank you.
Kraig you inspire me so hard bro. I don't have any friends that are into hiking or outdoors or anything, and seeing you hiking alone really inspires me to just grow some balls and go out and do it. Both my school and work are both remote, so I literally have the freedom to go anywhere. I have no excuses to not pack up my things and drive across the country
Everything about this is spectacular! The shots, the transitions, the music. You really capture how it feels to hike alone. Such simple yet creative content. And love all of the information you provide!! Keep it up
I know that there are some amazing hiking destinations in the US but those shots reflecting the vastness of the park are simply stunning and show just how big the state of Wyoming is!! Also, your effort to post 4K quality content is highly appreciated. Headset on and just watch you walk is a great way to relax after work! Thank you!!!
There are two types of people, ones who enjoy the spirit of traveling by themselves alone, and the ones who explore the world and try hard to bring the same exact spirit and feeling to the people who are not able to travel. You are God level.
A friend and I saw this video, and we attempted to do your same route, but over three days and starting at Taggart Lake. The park closed the Valley Trail so we weren't able to complete the loop, but we finished down by Phelps Lake and hitched a ride back to our car. It was a fantastic hike; one of the best we've ever done! Thanks for inspiring us to do this.
Hiking alone, being alone, Without fear of anything, Not even get the eerie feeling? Theres something on their brain that not regular people have. To shut down fear and not feeling it. Its awesome and scary. Im jealous.
This videos have got me out and about again and now im working up to doing an overnight on the trail. I used to be so passionate about hiking but as i have got older other things have become more important this is reinvigorating my passion for the outdoors. Now I try to do one hike every wednesday.
Best RU-vid channel hands down. So under rated its criminal. Some of your camera work and photography is professional level quality, like its out of a David Attenbourough documentary.
Thanks for another incredible video I watch your videos religiously five days a week during lunch just to calm myself from the hustle and bustle of work thanks again
Great video. I solo day-hiked the Paintbrush Canyon/Cascade Creek loop about 11 years ago. I had lunch just about where you did at 2:50. Awesome 20 mile loop. Passed deer and a mama and baby moose.
I don't know how much feedback you get on these aside from the obvious, but I really have to say you've hit your stride one the whole layout. Hike, sponsor shoutout, breakdown, then the nice b-roll stuff at the end. It's becoming a super nice formula. I look forward to it. Someday, when I have spare money, I'm gonna throw some to you Kraig. Keep it up. All the best.
