Hi Jim. You don't stoo surprising me. You have been hiking so much and the videos you create are amazing. Norway and Sweden must be realy interesting acording to your beautiful footage❤ Keep going and inspiring all of us
Ahh, thanks. That's really kind of you. Back in Scotland now so look out for more films from here. Can thoroughly recommend hiking in Scandinavia. Incredible place.
I only came across your channel a few days ago, and have been working through your videos just about as fast as you move across the hills (do you ever slow down?). I love this genre, and regard it as an important new art form. You were in a marvellous landscape here, in beautiful light. I especially appreciate your willingness to let the camera linger on the foregrounds too - as we walk in the hills, we naturally watch our feet, and the flowers and insects we see are part of our experience. Looking forward to more - and, for that matter, longer films. Best wishes!
Thank you. Such nice comments! And I agree that the little things on the ground are as much part of the landscape as the big views. It's always tempting to concentrate on those big vistas but I like to focus on what's around our feet too as that is very much part of the experience. Thinking about doing some longer films soon. Thanks again. Comments such as these spur me on to do more.
Norway and Sweden are two of my favorite countries. I was searching for videos like this like crazy. I saw your video. It's so beautiful that I have no words to describe it. Keep making videos like this.❤
You've got mindblowing skills, what a cinematic eye! The light on bridge and tree at 1:50 and when the hut door slammed shut, hilarious 👏🙌. Wonderful film!
Yeah, that was a lovely little place to stay. I had planned to go further to Ragohytta which is a better hut with beds and a wood burning stove but the lavvu had more character.
@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking lavvus are always very special. DNT huts are great, some better than others, but my favorites are always the basic (what l call) 'hunter huts' ("Statskog" huts).
@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking end July and start August. Crossed from Aktse through sarek, padjelanta and rago! Great trip! Seems like you walked a little later in the season?
Sounds like a great route. I was there in mid September. Weather was pretty wild at times. Had a very wet time on the north side of Vastenjaure. Love it up there. Already thinking about my next trip.
