Hiking CALIFORNIA : Cold Boiling Lake Trail To Bumpass Hell | Lassen Volcanic National Park | 4K 

7-11-2024 : Bumpass Hell Trail (2.7 miles) was still closed; the only way to reach Bumpass Hell was by Cold Boiling Lake Trail (5.2 miles). Trail starts off with a wide dirt road that eventually becomes a narrow incline towards the top. There were remnants of a fire but that doesn't detract from the rest of the views including Cold Boiling Lake and Crumbaugh Lake!
The loop of the Bumpass Hell Boardwalk was still incomplete as of this date. Reminds me of Yellowstone but to a smaller extent.
The steam from the geysers have an unpleasant sulfur smell.
Total ~5.2 miles; ~3 hours to complete.
