Good for you for being adventurous and being able to meet people and enjoy life. Coincidentally, I spent about 3 months in Mexico over the last year and now have a 4-year visa so I can return whenever I want. I’m 66 and retired. I lived 25 years in Asia but grew up in Seattle. I wish I could speak Spanish like you but I only know a few words.
