The walk near the lake reminds me of Long Pine Reservoir a bit. This one’s definitely on my list! It’s beautiful thank you for sharing ... mmmm ice cream 🍦 ☺️
Been there many times. When I was about 10 years old I took swimming lessons there at about 8 o'clock in the morning . It was freezing!! There are copperheads and rattlers around for sure.
A lovely area for an easy hike,, the kind of place you could spend all day walking or just enjoying the beauty. It does have a nice feel, some places don't, they be may pretty but they seem unwelcoming to downright creepy. It's not something you can see or hear, it's a bad or uncomfortable feeling.
When you zoomed in on the turtle at the lake Godzilla frog was poking his head out of the water as if he was eyeing up the the turtle for a meal. He was huge.
