Hiking deeper into Tuscany and a change of route: The Cammino di Dante: Day 6 

The Cammino di Dante is a gorgeous hike in Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, Italy. Inspired by the travels and writings of the renowned poet, Dante Alighieri, the hike links places visited by Dante or mentioned in his greatest work, The Divine Comedy.
After the rain the... haze. But even this did nothing to diminish the beauty of the Apennine Mountains. The walk crossed into Tuscany from Emilia-Romagna and took me to the highest point on the path to Florence. The paths were a joy to hike on and the views spectacular. Birdsong filled the air again and the signs of spring were all around. A truly glorious day of hiking in the Italian countryside.
