Hi all! We thought we'd take you along on this fun, but short hike! The Yellowstone River Trail begins with a steep descent to the Yellowstone River Suspension Bridge, then crosses a sagebrush plateau, and drops down to Hellroaring Creek. Both the Yellowstone River and Hellroaring Creek are popular fishing areas. We decided to just hike down to the Suspension Bridge and back up, since it looked like there was a thunderstorm coming. It's one steep mile down to the bridge and back up again, for a total of 2 miles. We highly recommend this trail. The beauty along the way is so worth it. We hope to go back someday and hike much longer on this trail, perhaps making it a backpacking trip! Also, we'd like to note that Undine Falls is NOT along this trail. We drove a bit further down the highway to see those falls. It was a fun roadside stop! We hope you enjoy this look at the Yellowstone River Trail! Thanks so much for watching!
