HIKING THE GIANT CITY STATE PARK 

we went to Giant City State park in Shawnee National Forest located in Southern Illinois near Carbondale- -we had a picnic then hiked one of the trails -----there are eight trails to hike we only did one do to the heat -gives us a reason to go back :) lots of fun for everyone
Giant City State Park is on 4,000 acres in Jackson and Union Counties
there is camping spaces, tent camping, cabins to rent horse back riding , lots of picnic areas and a lodge where you can eat Giant City State Park is a great way to have family time--
