Hiking the Highest Peak in Menifee - Menifee Cross Trail
If you've ever wondered what Menifee looks like from way up above, today you are in luck because we are going to hike one of the tallest peaks right here in Menifee. We're starting out today at Aldergate Park, across Menifee Road from Freedom Crest Elementary School and just outside the east entrance to the 55 and over community called The Oasis.
I'm excited to bring you on this hike today. So if you want to follow along and see exactly where we're at, check out the Menifee Cross Trail on alltrails.com. So this is about a two and a half mile round trip hike that we're on today, so just under one and a quarter miles to the summit. So it doesn't sound very long, but we're going to gain over 600 feet in elevation today, and it's definitely going to be a leg burner!
