Thank you for producing your content. It's inspiring for a person in his 50's who's just starting to get back into backpacking after a 28 year hiatus. Love your pup too! I love that you capture his joy as he rolls around in the various grasses he comes across 😂! Please keep the content coming!
Thank you for letting me know! Yes, that's the one, just looked it up :) It's hard to see on the video and I should have mentioned it, but it was indeed a bird with black and white feathers that I saw :) Thank you so much!!
Another excellent video beautifully edited and presented. Otto did everything you asked of him. Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to the next one. Sheffield South Yorkshire.
Your sense of enjoyment really shows, Elli 😊 you look relaxed and happy. It's good tha there's a choice of routes but Glen Almond was beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Elli for a hike with quite a variation of landscapes. Love the monochrome colours along the Moorland and Glen. Very picturesque. As usual, excellent presentation and information, great scenic photography and camp set ups. Like the ‘nützlicher Epilog’ 🤔 Looking forward to your next hike (and will happily revisit some of the previous one) Take care and happy dry walking.
You make such fantastic films Elli! Beautifully edited and put together. I’m very ill with leukaemia at the moment and am spending months and months in hospital doing chemotherapy so no walking for me anymore. I relax by watching you and Otto in glorious Scotland my favourite place. Thank you so much for all your work and for sharing your hikes with us!
Hope the chemo goes well and wishing you all the best. Here's hoping you can get back to walking. I'm currently off the walking with a broken back but hoping next year will see me back in Scotland🏴
Bless you RR, I'm in a similar situation, thankfully now in early remission. Attempting smaller hikes with less elevation. Positive thinking is the key. I wish you well.
I'm so sorry to hear this and wishing you all the best and that it's getting better very soon!!! Feeling very humble that the videos are cheering you up, if only a little bit. Sending you lots of love 🍀
Otto seems to be coping well Elli,in spite of the tarmac you've covered. Another lovely story just completed. Looking forward to the Cairngorms. I hike those 60 years ago, mid winter during a months Outward Bound Course my Company sponsored me on.
Probably wrong but that bird sounded like a peewit )northern lapwing) Im not a birdwatcher though. So feel free to put me right😂😂 Anyway. Another enjoyable video, thanks.
I should have mentioned how it looked as it wasn't very clear in the video :) Yep, you're right, it was a lapwing :) Looked it up after reading somme comments and that's exactly the bird that I saw (black and white). Thank you for following along 😊
Enjoyed watching this :) I was thinking about the Rob Roy Way for my next long hike. I will definitely do it now, it looks so nice and peaceful. I didn't know about the longer version, but I will be adding in an extra day for it.
Oh, that's so cool! Really glad that you found the videos helpful :) have a great hike, I can really whole-heartedly recommend it 😊 thank you so much for following along :)
If you ever do the Hebridean way you'll become very acquainted with the Lapwings.... never seen so many, mainly in the southern half, they sound like an 80's video game and lovely to sit and watch them do their erratic sky manoeuvres!
Hahaha 😅🫣 I don't use it as often as I thought I would when I got it a few months ago....but it's another thing to keep charge, have to get put of the pack, takes time etc 😅 so far, I've been a bit lazy to use it more 😅
I also did RRW in April and exactly the same way, graveyard(which should be compulsory to visit if people do that) and also Glen Almond which was a highlight of my trip. Was so beautiful, I think I liked it better then WHW haha...I was difficult to fund wild camping spots sometimes etc and not the easist walks but was great fun all together!
Another well made video Elli and Otto, liked the wild camping spots what a beautiful morning views to wake up too. The drone shots were awesome too. You both put Scotland on the map for many I think. I remember that wind too , going through your bones 😂. Take care both 🌷
Elli - Is it wrong for me to say; I mainly tune in for Otto 🐕 (Ich mach nur scherze) - Your positivity and creative content are always worth coming back for and to see the new adventures of Elli and Otto
Hahaha, not wrong at all 🥰😅 we all know Otto is the real hero here and I couldn’t have wished for a better hiking partner :) your kind words mean so much and I really appreciate you following along! Thank you so much ☺️
Thank you so so much, that means a lot 😊 yes, definitely! The Wales Coast Path or at least the Pembrokeshore CP is very high on my lost. If not this year, then definitely next year for sure :) any other trails that you would recommend?
@@ellihikes Hi Ellie, have a look at the Snowdonia Slate Trail, the Anglesey Way and the Lleyn Peninsular. All very good trails. If you do decide to come to Eryri / Snowdonia let me know as I live at Llyn Crafnant, up in the mountains and you and Otto would be very welcome 😁
I should have mentioned it in the video (didn't realise that you couldn't see the bird on the actual video), but it was a bird with black and white feathers and not running/flying but really flying all around. I just learned from the comments that it was a lapwing :)
