HIKING THE SWISS ALPS | WHISKY TREK | APPENZELL 

I’ve always wanted to go hiking in the Swiss Alps, so when I read about the Santis malt whisky trek in the Appenzell region of Switzerland, I began planning a trip. This video takes in 9 of the mountain inns / berggasthaus in the region, including the amazing Aescher, Rotsteinpass, Santis and the stunning Seealpsee by the lake. I’ve done a lot of hiking in my time, and with the Lisengrat and the drop down to Seealpsee, I have to say it was the most scenic hike I’ve ever done.
Fast forward to 6m 50s for the most amazing Swiss mountain horn on our final morning :)
