Took a little solo trip up north to hike Mt Osceola and East Osceola in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Nice smooth drive and a beautiful view from the top of Osceola. East Osceola is nothing too special but has some nice vantage points along the trail.
I entered through the Tripoli Rd side which is supposedly easier terrain. Most people were telling me the trail that goes up from 112 is much more challenging. But I cannot say as I did not go up that way. It did seem like a very common theme among those who came up that route though.
All in all a great time. I went up alone but was never really alone. A very popular and crowded area!

As much as I love money, I would highly suggest giving yourself at least 48 hours before any purchase decision and asking yourself “Do I really need this?”. I hope more times than not, you find yourself saying “I Definitely do NOT need this”. If you find yourself still in need, shop around and find the best deal for your money.
Please note that I am not recommending any of the gear seen in any of my videos. The gear I use is what I have found works best for me at the time period I am using it. I have come to these gear choices through vast levels of trial, error, and experimenting with gear out on trail.
Gear, clothing, footwear, etc. are not one style works for all. Do as much research as you can, try out things in person if able, and make the best informed purchase decision for YOU. Do not buy gear just because it worked for, was showcased by, or recommended by someone on RU-vid

Been lurking enjoying the vids for a bit, felt the need to come back and comment. Started my 48 in the summer of 2021 (picked the Osceolas thanks to this video) and currently at 20/48 with plans of doing backpacking trips this summer. Your super chill and helpful videos gave me the confidence to start (18 so far are solo) seeing what I was getting into so just wanted to say thanks. Keep on hiking and being a cool guy

Got my dog to make it through that chimney - I was soooo proud of him. and yeah, the Exit 28 pizza is very good. Outstanding cheese, talked to the owner and he said it was greek style or something like that. I even went on to Yelp to put in a positive review.

Man thats quite the determined ninja pooch! haha Ya Exit 28 Pizza is kind of my new goto. Fairly cheap $$ wise. Good food. Super convienient when heading back down 93 toward MA. Really like the BBQ chicken pizza. Steak and cheese is solid. Had a buffalo chicken calzone last time. Excelllllllent!

I love your videos! They are so helpful in my journey of doing the 48. I plan on doing the Osceola's on Saturday!

Love it! Glad they help out! Osceolas were real nice. The way I went up is supposedly the easier of the two ways. I forget the other trail up but I think it hits east osceola first. Heard that one was more challenging. Either way enjoy the hike! Was hoping to head up this weekend somewhere myself. Hopefully the weather is good!

Yes, I read plenty of reviews, which can be helpful, but they are pretty subjective. That's why it's really nice to be able to see someone do the trail. I plan on doing this trail tomorrow. I think it's going to be 60's and overcast with maybe some scattered showers.

Hi Chris. Enjoyed your video! I'll be doing the shorter hike up to Osceola tomorrow, (June 12th, 2020). I have been inspired to rediscover what I have been missing for 25 years. I have 14 of the 48 to my credit but none since my 25th birthday. I am now 52 and want to add number 15. Your video has helped me decide this is the peak I want to be my 15th. I've been "training" for 10 weeks to get into better hiking shape. Thanks again and look forward to more of your vids. Wish me luck! Scott

Dude, if you get the chance, camp at the top of Osceola. The sunrise is to die for!

Quick question - at what time did you arrive at the parking lot? We usually arrive at trailheads around 730 am, so I didn’t know if we’d see a ton of people. Thanks!

Hi Chris, I am planning the shorter hike up to Mt Osceola tomorrow, (June 12th, 2020). It will be my first mountain that I've hiked in nearly 25 years. I have 14 of the 48 already to my credit but all done before my 25th birthday. I am now 52 and rediscovering what I have been missing. I've been training for the last 10 weeks to get myself back in some sort of shape. Thank you for the video. It looked spectacular and I can't wait to get there!
