This was a great wee trip back down memory lane for me from a trip just under two years ago. The bothy was well stocked with wood which made carrying in the bag of logs all the more deflating. It was a great trip back then and yours seemed just as enjoyable. Thanks for the great video and I look forward to watching more of your trips... great stuff.
Happy Birthday! What a place to celebrate it. Is it permitted to imagine that whiskey was served? It's odd, I thought that this was a short visual poem about solitude, in a very sustantial world (stone, wood, metal) with a little hint of the eldritch - the stove that lights itself for the lonely traveller. (Maybe it still is that narrative, despite explanations.)
Your lucky there was fuel to hand. We always carried in coal etc, a must for a comfy night. An open fire is so much better, those enclosed contraption,s give off heat, but no atmosphere.
