Oh I think this is your first comment on my video hahaha.. yes I can imagine.. I thought I escaped the pain until I got home.. seriously I was all cut up as well even though I had on long pants.. I could only imagine how much deeper your cuts are hahahha.. but worth the pain.. waterfall was bloody nice and the hiking stories was GOLD! #pumpkin ..
Highly recommend gloves..not sure about the jeans though =) might get quite hot but will save your legs.. I was wearing hiking pants and my legs still got ripped apart =).
My arms n legs are shredded, didn’t care as it was a nice distraction from bloody cliff. Had some doubts of returning back up the commando trail but re found it easily enough, kinda lucky. Wasn’t gonna hang around though. Back up in under an hour.
That's awesome Glen, I would love to see any old photograph of the track before it was in disrepair. To my understanding this track was closed in the 70s due to landslides but that was what was rumoured.
@@tofuhiker Sorry, no photos, images reside in mind only. I noticed you had to rock hop up the creek a bit to the base of the falls. From memory, once at the bottom of the steps & rails open "cliff face" section, the track made a sharp right and it was a reasonably gentle gradient right to the base of the falls. (but may have included a few steps, can't remember) Obviously now overgrown. That's maybe why you felt you were not descending enough and you dropped more directly down to the creek. Used to be a very popular track.
@@glenwillson5073 that's is correct the old track after the cliff face has been reclaimed by nature, we actually tried finding that trail on our way out but it turned into a complete nightmare. I have no doubt it was a popular trail as the waterfall is gorgeous.
I think I'll give that one a miss, got enough cuts and scratches on me from falling through the floor of an abandoned building we were exploring on the weekend.
Loved it, you and Ben looked like you had fun on this exploration. That sketchy exit footage would be fascinating to see. Glad to see up close one of Dale's 500 waterfalls 😂
Hahaha, Ben a real Champ I really enjoyed meeting him.. we share the same opinions of all the Dale's and Fedales. Oh the exit footage was rough very similar to your Mt Perry Lanata video but these one had spikes.. but we decided enough of that shit and headed up the side of the cliff and well that turned out to be even worst lol! Almost "air lifted" out scenario. =).
