Hiking to the Czantoria peak in the Silesian Beskids IN POLAND.
Having free time and not liking sitting at home with a remote control in my hand, I chose to follow mountain trails without any long planning to a well-known peak in the Silesian Beskids, i.e. Czantoria Wielka. Three of us went on this hike - me, my son Oskar and my dog Bruno.
Late in the morning we started our hike along the blue trail from Ustroń, Poniwiec. The beginning of the trail, even though it was winter, was dominated by autumn colors that painted the landscape in amazing shades.
As we approached the halfway point of the route, we began to feel the first weather changes. The autumn air and views gradually gave way to the winter chill. It was an enigmatic moment when the autumn landscape turned into a winter landscape.
When we reached the top of Wielka Czantoria, we climbed the observation tower to admire the panorama of the mountain landscape. On one side we saw mountains partially covered in white, and on the other, in the distance, valleys flooded with golden sunlight. Oskar and Bruno reached this peak for the first time, and I can't count how many times I've been here, but it doesn't matter to me.
The blue trail turned out to be a choice full of contrasts - initially shimmering with gold and red, and then transforming into an interesting landscape of white. Bruno seemed to be in his element and we were happy to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a while.
As we descended the mountain along the red, icy trail, the terrain changed again. We even walked along the edge of the ski slope for a while, but it didn't work :-) The winter landscape gradually gave way to autumn colors, creating an amazing contrast. The last steps of this journey are a summary and joy from the time spent together, which strengthens family bonds :-)
To the question: "What's the best way to climb Czantoria?" You can choose 3 routes from the Polish side. Yellow is the longest but the most interesting; red is the most physically difficult and blue is in the middle without crowds. I recommend doing each of them because... How long will it take to climb Czantoria? - 1.5 -2 hours at a leisurely pace :-)
If anyone wants to know the history of the name Czantoria, please watch the film, I will explain it there :-)
My channel is a mix of mountain hikes, motorcycle trips and bicycle rallies.
