Absolutely! We wouldn’t have it any other way! Dates are so important to reference what time of year it is. Thx for watching!

It was, and we really weren't sure how it was going to be. The wind was so bad in NM. So glad we did it and if we go back, would do it again!

Hiking at 3.5 mph! INCREDIBLE! I can barely do that on flat terrain, let alone on a trail with some elevation. Gorgeous country! Thanks.

Hey guys what a difference it makes when weather is better. That looked like a great hike we are getting nervous we have also lost our hiking endurance so a little nervous about that first hike. Funny listening to you talk about the time change and Arizona I (Jodi) lived in Arizona for 5 years and had the same situation with a teacher and students in Washington about the time change even the teacher tried saying I was wrong. LoL! Hey Kevin would love to have a meet up, beers and hear stories! Looking forward to seeing your Texas adventures safe travels!

Welcome to TEXAS. The only state in the US where if you are heading, lets say east and you enter the western state line at dawn, you will still be in TEXAS at sunset when you reach the eastern border of TEXAS. You said y'all might be going to Galveston, TEXAS. Well, maybe not this trip (I mean loop) y'all might want to go the southern border of TEXAS (the Rio Grande Valley) to South Padre Island where the water and sands are beautiful. Galveston has it's own charm but comes no where near the beauty of South Padre Island. I know because I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and I have lived in Galveston. I have a question; Did I miss something, what happened to your traveling companions? Keep up the good work, I love seeing a brother in Blue enjoying your retired years. I have always said , the beauty of these United States did not just appear but were put here by the Lord for all to see.

Headed from Carlsbad NM to Ft Stockton and reading that the 285 is in really bad shape (info online from a few years ago) and not safe due to oil truck traffic? Not many options headed out of Carlsbad into Texas and Gulf Coast. Thanks and safe travels

Great job on the hike! It looked like it was worth it. I have not heard of that National Park. Do you make any trips back to AZ mid year or not until the holidays? Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley

It’s actually one of the least visited NPs there are. We heard about it from the park staff when we were checking into the RV Park in Carlsbad and are so glad we went. We will fly home once or twice for family events but don’t drive home in the RV until November. Hope to see you on the road! Stay safe out there Chief!
