Great vid as ever lads, I really like this area of the moors, a load of ancient sites as well, tho do need to tick Shilstone tor off my tor bagging list, just never seem to get there. Watern tor, shame you couldnt film it, it is a grand tor, home of the "Thirlstone" a gap between the peaks. Its one of the boundry markers for the Perambulation of Dartmoor. Camped there a few times, including my first ever wildcamp on Dartmoor, but rare to have it to yrself these days. Im really impressed with yr star shots, you always seem to hit the jackpot with it, I love it, great stuff, infact id say you produce some of the best Dartmoor vids being uploaded these days, def you should have more subs/views, so please keep them coming! lol we both thought about turning left and just carried on doing what we were doing, and ended up going the wrong way jay😂. Yeah its a lush area, think it could get busy there. But you are right, Watern is a grand old Tor, We seen the Thirstone, I was thinking of doing a star shot through there (would of been epic) but the Tor got a tad busy so a no go. Thanks for the kind words on the videos Jay. I love watching/shooting the stars at night, so much so my head was hanging out my tent most the night just looking up at the night sky lol😜. Have to agree with @wandering jay, and as I’ve said to you before, you guys are producing some of the best Dartmoor videos these days, and I love ‘em! So nice to sit back in a comfy chair, beer in hand, to watch your latest video. I’ve been to Watern and Wild Tors, but not yet Shilstone. Rival Tor or Ripportor (?) is also around the Hound /Wild/Watern Tors vicinity, which I need to bag and get on my list along with Shilstone 👍. Your nightscape was top notch, must have been amazing to watch the stars, without all that light pollution! Keep it up guys, you’re raising the bar and obviously enjoying it yourselves and giving many others a lot of enjoyment too! Hi ya Pete, you are welcome for the latest instalment, The videos seem to be coming together a bit better now, spose just time and practise. Hope you enjoyed your beer watching🍺. We were quite close to Rival/Ripportor when stopping for a drink of water and refilling our bottles at Gartaven ford, that could of been what I could see from Kennon Hill. Getting on point with the nightscapes now Pete, again time and practice. I have always enjoyed looking at the stars and planets at night but like you say, on the moor of the dart the light pollution is low so it looks amazing 😎👌😎.
