Hello Folks, well the HikMicro problem continues to drag on, without any sign of a quick fix.
I was fortunate to get my scope looked at by the UK Service Centre, and they returned the two scopes I have, back to before the update. Hopefully, it won't be long before there is a fix you can download as usual.
This video is also my personal tribute to my friend Ewan, who sadly lost his battle against cancer this week. Ewan’s story will hopefully make you appreciate that ,
“ things aren’t really that bad for the rest of us “

Hello Jim , yes it was dreadful news to hear last week, such a nice determined young man. We did have a giggle though when he went to the hanger with me, because I’d not had my first hip replacement, and we were both hobbling around together, but that never stopped him doing what he loved .

Hello Pete, Thanks very much mate, what a tragic loss for his family. A few folks have said they have their own children that age, and cannot imagine how Ewan’s family are coping. I’ll go and see them in a few days ❤️👍

I hope you've had a better day David than yesterday, hearing such tragic news. Rest in peace Ewan. Only 2 years older than my eldest child, I can't imagine what his family's going through! God bless them all! As for hik, they've been too busy releasing a new thermal scope called "x". Scott country have just put out a teaser video giving no information at all🙄

Thanks matey, yes, yesterday was a bit of a bad day indeed, I really crashed when I heard that sad news, and was surprised to realise that I was so high on his list of people to tell. I really think HikMicro should concentrate their valuable time in perfecting the products out now , before rushing another new model out, in time for Christmas. From what I’ve seen, it still needs some work 🤷🏼‍♂️🥴🥴

Cheers Andy, I’ll let you know when the funeral is chap , Ewan has planned it all, so his Dad was telling me yesterday, and it’s going to be different . That’s just unbelievable, a 13 year old has planned his own funeral 🤷🏼‍♂️❤️❤️

Thanks Jim, I wanted to get this out tonight, as Ewan’s Grandmother is coming over tonight from Montana. He’s remaining at home until she can say goodbye to him, then he will go to the chapel of rest.

Glad I didn't jump on the update now. My Alpex is working just fine with the old firmware. Very sad news about Ewan. My heart goes out to his family. Despite being an occasional grumpy old man, I really have nothing to grumble about.

No they’re not Brian, but the secret of good comedy is timing, And there are some other scopes now at that will probably get more attention now, from unhappy people, and to be brutally honest, I can’t say I blame them, I think it’s very poor that nobody has got up and said what is going on. I think it’s probably a cultural thing and not seen the be accepted by saying, “We got it wrong “ 🫢
