DVR footage quality is directly proportional to quality of DVR and Camera whereas in NVR quality of footage is only directly proportional to quality of camera itself. So i can install world's most costliest cctv (non ip) on worlds shittiest dvr and the quality will be shit. But even with a 2mp normal cctv hooked to premium dvr will result in better footage because dvr is responsible for processing data of cctv. I don't understand the comparison point if any of the camera setting is "manually tweaked" either to promote specific product.
