update: sound works....but no image...I suppose its something that cannot be easily fixed...some incompatibility issue between these two specific nvrs

Question, If I have a NVR with 8 Ch and other with 8Ch too when I execute the procedure you show in your video, I'll have video of the 16 channels in the principal NVR ? or the maximum channel I could see joining one NVR to another will depend of the principal NVR ?

Hello! How would I make this work using an external ip? I have 2 systems in separate networks that I want to be able to make work with each other.

May is ask if the main nvr switches off such as power cut will camera will still be live on second nvr or no, if IP cameras are directly connected back of nvr.

I would say no due to the fact the back of the nvr is providing the poe power to those cameras. If the nvr shuts down, no poe power

32 ch NVR + 32ch NVR with 64 ip camera cam we merge both NVR and live view on one monitor it is possible??

It doesnt work with my setup. Primary nvr is DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P with 4 cameras connected via POE. Secondary nvr is DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P. I can make a successfull connection from secondary to primary nvr and get the popup to select the channels. I select the first 4 channels and see all these channels with status online in secondary nvr. Everything good sofar. Though no live view from secondary nvr.

Hi with me the fail over not working when I discount nvr1 all the live view get disconnected until the nvr 1 get live

For new firmware or NVR4.0 interface you can add NVR to NVR the same as add Hikvision IPC into NVR. Thanks a lot!

Hello, Yes, we can. The step by step are the same. but we can only add analog channel to NVR. For IPC channel on DVR can not add to NVR, it’s not support. Thank you so much!

Hello How are you ? This way can i connect 1 ip camera to 5 NVRs I can add ip camera to 3 NVRs But i need to connect to 5NVRs

All but one model of hikvision nvr have a fan and make a lot of noise. E.g. you have a 8 port hikvision nvr that has cameras connected with POE. But you are sitting in your office not near this nvr and you want to remotely have a liveview. You can possibly use ivms 4200 but it is very unstable and requires a computer running. So alternatively you can have the second nvr being the fanless nvr and have it running stable to get a live view on a big screen.
