I got to meet most of the squad last year and I had days to think about a question for the lads before hand. So I asked "who is the player than keeps the team together like glue off and on the field that people wouldn't expect. Literally everyone I spoke too said Joel Matip or lovren before he left more 80% matip 20% lovren. Apparently Joel always buys the boys gifts headphones etc he listens to stuff they talk about and surprises people. He bought Bobby a special made tea drinking thing with his name of I forgot what they're called. I heard all this from vvd, ali, mo, sadio, Robbie and Wilson plus more I cant remember. He seems so quiet and I never see anything about it on LFC TV. I just want people to know how low-key legend Joel is and how important he is for the team. Hes.a massive beast of a defender despite his injury woes. Respect to Matip!!!
