I’m an Aussie and ordered a nice jacket via a reputable company here called Catch. Let’s just say that jacket not only was NOT faux leather (it was polyester) but the quality even of it was even worse than if I had made it, and I’m terrible. It had been delivered from a third party so Catch did email them and they offered me a 20% refund, no I want my money back. Then they came back with 35% refund, no, I want my money. Then they said they will refund me but that I was responsible for returning the item that I didn’t order, and I said that I will take them to small claims and they can decide who is responsible for this attempted rip off. So I quickly got my full refund. If any company does this to you, they assume that you’ll take a small refund to just not worry about it. The quality of the items they send out is not worth $2 so they are just scamming people. Keep refusing any refund and threaten them with court, they will give in. I could have got the money back from PayPal but I wanted it from them on principle 😊

I ordered some pens like that with a Christmas message on them to give to our vendors. My order and a sex shop got there at the same time. Any guesses what my pens had on them? All the vendors had a good laugh. They didn't 'know' I had a business on the side.

I worked for the MTA ordering supplies when we changed our name to MEA. Since I was using the same supplier I usually used directed them to print and ship our usual order of pens except to change our name from MTA to MEA. Imagine my consternation when we received 1000 pens that read Change MTA to MEA. I kept a few for collector pieces but had to reorder the entire order.

I ordered a pair of “combat” boots from a mail order magazine called Delia’s, in the late 90’s. I was a size 7 1/2, sized up to an 8, and the boots that arrived were almost 11.5” long… on a different occasion (same catalog) I ordered a pair of polka dot wedges in the same size, and when those arrived they were so cute and good quality, but I estimate that they were probably a womens size 4. They looked like they were made for a six year old… this was back when goods from china were just becoming a thing, and I think it took them awhile to understand American sizing. I’d like to say I didn’t order from them again, but I’d be lying.

Many years ago I worked for a management institute whose chairman was usually the CEO of a major company. One year the chairman had an unusual name ending in peice, this was pointed out to the printers as the correct spelling. Lo and behold someone at the printers changed it to piece so we had reams of headed paper, invoices, business cards etc all wrongly spelt. Printers had to redo it all and pay for it all themselves!

That Christmas card is pretty badass, ngl. That would definitely go on the mantel.

It's actually sad that some people were so deceived, but it also made me laugh. I've made such a bad purchase a few times myself, so i know how it feels. 😉

Some of this might be funny but mostly I'd be darn mad.

~ BEWARE! OF WALMART: Do not buy produce in bags that don't show what's inside, they sell GMO rejects. Bought some pears, & a couple of them had the seeds growing on the outside. Bought some lemons, each were small but had about 20 seeds inside them, hardly any juice. Bought a bag of potatoes, rotten ones at the bottom by next day. Bought some pork meat for carnitas, one of the meat pieces was all non edible fat that wouldn't cook. (There is currently a lawsuit against Walmart because of this & some citrus produce) Bought some eggs, all had signs of avian flu, white phlegm smears on the yolks that aren't supposed to be there. Was in the mood for some Mexican sweet bread, but when I checked the ingredients, there were like a 100 artificial ingredients, eek ook ukk!. ~ Not all their products are defective, but it is obvious that they are some kind of testing ground for GMO rejects.
