Look up “Elmo & Robin Williams (blooper reel)”. It’s an absolute masterclass of a Muppet staying in character after flubbing a line. You can hear Robin Williams in the background giggling non-stop.
In some interviews with famous puppeteers they said that this is so much a part of their life that's it easy to stay in character especially when you put in as many hours as they do. Noel macneal is a good one
Looks like they had a lot of fun on set. Remember the Henson Alternative gang? The people who made the Happy Time Murders? I still really want them to do more stuff.
