To be fair, I have to agree with Alan here. Call my Bluff is a significantly worse version of Would I lie to you? in every possible way and it's, in any case, a strange game to start in the middle of Qi.
Robert Robinson was satirised at one point on 'A bit of Fry and Laurie' and this is a repetition of the voice. I believe it was originally from "call my bluff", which Robert Robinson hosted from 1967-1988.
I only knew the Grog Blossom one because it's similar to Gin Blossom, which is a red nose that is the result of broken capillaries around the nose that comes from excessive drinking.
There was a 90's (?) rock group called the Gin Blossoms. Who took their name from a WCFields picture, in particular his red nose from drinking, which was known as a ... well ... gin blossom. I'm surprised no one there knew that.
He's making an impression of something he and Hugh Laurie did on A Bit of Fry and Laurie, long before this show was around... try looking up "The Smug Hour"; you should be able to find it! XD
The host of the radio show that they're copying here called Call My Bluff (one of the original UK comedy panel shows). He was the host when they were all growing up.

Having spent my teenage years cancelling meetings with friends because Call My Bluff was on, I must stoutly defend the programme against Alan's skepsis. It was at least as good as QI even with Bob Holness.
There was some real competitiveness involved in Call My Bluff which is lacking in QI. Both TV shows are/were excellent making AD's opinion wrong, in my opinion. Mind you, who asked for my opinion?
