My mother came across Richard in an airport once. He was just how his show persona is with her. All bubbly and loving and sweet and gave mom a hug and a kiss. What a wonderful soul he was.

I was thinking about this "out of control" talk show clip. It made me miss fitness icon Richard Simmons' silly energetic self, and made me need to exercise. How can you not love Richard Simmons He lived for others And died for himself And he deserves everything good that happened in his life. @@Shivaismysaviour i was working at Guggenheim . my boss said he was a little nervous about Richard.When he came over he began jumping around me and said im here to help everyone.He then whispered in my ear that he saw parents giving their kids cookies and coke .He started like we were already in the middle of a conversation. ..He was zany and sweet .So uncontrolled..i miss here...This was in the 80s .i was slim so i had no idea what power he held in helping others .God Speed you Richard .No one ever will be this genuine..
And when they all go home from the mall Richard sneaks up and hugs. He did that to me in Dallas and the man is muscle. He could wipe a few men out if he wanted to. Well he could in the nineties. I knew him of course from GH at the time but he’s really sweet.
