I think Hildi forgets this is not an art installation, and that the room has to function. Or should function. A good 90% of her ideas are truly God awful ugly. Now and then, when she says hush to the krazy voices in her head, a room would turn out not gross.

After the straw room the family had to spend thousands to fix the room and hours to get all the straw and glue out. The baby was in danger too, as there was an unstable bookshelf, broken glass, and straw for them to eat off the walls... Hildi is only on the show for the shock value even if she is too arrogant to notice, my family has been gathering around the TV to mock and make fun of the designer's choices, and the horrific taste and shock it brings is the only point of the show. Honestly excited to see the disaster a new new season brings!

In the straw wall episode, the neighbors even told Hildi that their neighbors had kids and that the kids might try to eat the hay off the wall, and Hildi's response was something like, "Well, then they need to be told not to do that". She ignored what was being said to her, made her snobby comment about the kids and continued gluing anyway. Her ego is seriously out of control and her disrespect is unparalleled.

Can someone explain to me how Hildi was hired to be a designer? Or what school she got her training from? Either everyone on the casting team was her extended family or they conducted phone interviews. Hildi has managed to destroy these peoples homes with her cheap and unfocused designs. When her career ends (if it hasnt already) hopefully she'll write a tell all book on how she convinced the TLC team to put her on TV despite her ugly so call designs.

This lady destroys homes for 15 minutes in the spotlight. The ONLY reason she is on this show is because destroying peoples’ homes makes for good TV. This lady is just too delusional to realize that. She actually thinks the producers like her work. The only reason the producers even bring her name up in episodes is so they can shift the blame on her. It’s pure manipulation of a ego driven manic. She is nothing but a scapegoat.

If Hildi was the designer they told me I had to use, I would tell them that I am not doing the show. She was an arrogant nincompoop. She didn't give a s*** about her clients, it was all about her making an impact on the show. She definitely made an impact but probably not the one she intended to. She was beyond horrible. I question whether she's really a designer or not. I need receipts of her credentials after the horrible mess she left behind for people to have to clean up.
