Good job pointing out the camera man or person. There are two people flying down that hill with incredible control and precision and they should both get the glory not just the person in the front. Not all the time, but some longboarders have their camera man riding a motorcycle or some form of motorized equipment, so they can keep a good follow distance. As well as keeping the shot

Independent snowboarding and driving fast at night. Nothing like going 50’mph down a hill on a snowboard no gloves no helmet no goggles, just the wind in your face. Sounds stupid and dumb as fuck but damn does it take me to a different place.

@@yuxiwang2005 then the camera is hood mounted an in someone's hand. I was on site for a Warren Miller shoot. Every shot was gone by a guy in the same exact gear following behind. I see nothing in this shot that suggests "car". Its not stable or gyro'ed.

@@faithful451 it changes according to your drag coefficient and cross sectional area (silhouette). in other words for example, terminal velocity will be different for a skydiver if they are diving straight down versus laying horizontal . This is what allows for people to fly up and down in those skydiving simulators ( big vertical wind chambers). If you notice in the very beginning of the clip when he puts his arms out it appears he did so not for his balance but to slow down a bit. Then later he bends forward with amrs behind his back to reach a greater speed by increasing his terminal velocity.

They take it really chill on open roads. All downhill skaters do, and usually have spotters on big runs like that. If it was closed we’d likely get to see some cooler runs. Like racing gets really fast and perfect race lines when closed off
