I've worked in quality control in engineering for over 47 years, and I must admit that it's a breath of fresh air pardon the pun to see a quality piece of kit still made here in THE UK. At an affordable price. And to see a strip down video as well is fantastic. Can't wait to order mine in a few weeks time. As up to now I've used diving cylinders to recharge my Pcp. Well done for sharing this and your other videos on the Hills compressor.

Incredible design, single piston, multistage compression. I worked 17 years for major U.S. air compressor manufacturer. I did a lot of machining and building of prototype compressors, many of them multistage, My last project was a 5,000 psi four stage compressor that compressed natural gas to fill vehicle fuel tanks. It was built using a 460 cubic inch V8 ford engine. Four cylinders drove it (on natural gas) and the first stage was the existing factory bore piston with three smaller diameter pistons making up the last three stages on the other bank of cylinders. I am very impressed with what your company has designed and built. I have been researching small high pressure compressors for air rifle use for a while. This is by far the best I have seen. It is great that you produce these videos showing just how simple it is to repair them. I now know that I can order one with 100% confidence that I will be receiving a quality product with a great control system. The fact that it has the horse power to start itself under a load when and if the temperature control system kicks in. Is a testament to your companies goal to produce a high quality product. Thank you again, and congratulations.

Mr. Roberts; I've been researching also for my first compressor. Yes, I noticed it started under load also, when others I've seen online expressly say, "Do not start under load" when dealing with their compressors. So, with your experience, sounds like you would recommend this compressor?

Much apriciated, and this shows the quality and craftmanship as well, and how easy it can be when shown by proffecionals, and help us consumers do it our selves. This would never happen if it was cheap Chinese crap! Cheers!

I’ve got my Hill compressor for about 3 weeks now and I must say it’s a great piece of kit. I hope I don’t have to dismantle it the first few years. Greetings from Belgium, Marc.

Great video, Thanks! And created by Hill, not somebody taking the unit apart in their basement. That said, how about torque specs for the fasteners? And would the reassembly of the piston assembly and cylinder be helped with a little silicone lubricant? High Pressure Air is NOT to be messed with.

Hello, I need help. I have a Hill Pump EC3000 compressor. The pressure sensor wires were cut off, four wires. I want a picture so that I can re-solder the wires in the sensor.

Is the air breathable? What about the air filter? What I don’t like in other compressors is that it fills the gun with oil or moisture
@Hillpumps
@Hillpumps 2 года назад
Hi, no the air is not breathable from the compressor. It has an onboard moisture trap system to remove a lot of the moisture from the air.

Reading the comment about the onboard moisture trap system that removes a lot of the air, sounds like it doesn't trap all of it ? .. is there room for improvement to trap all the moisture ?
@Hillpumps
@Hillpumps 2 года назад
Hi Peter, if just filling guns then the onboard trap should be sufficient, if you are filling cylinders then 3rd party inline filters are available to offer extra moisture removal. These must be on the outlet end and rated to 300bar. We are also working on our own additional inline filter as well. Regards.
