Yes, I admit that we're just a few whimps, prefering safety above a tricky experiment. So here's your challenge: pitch your tent in the middle of the Greenland Icecap at windforce 10 Beaufort / 100 km/hr without a windbreak. We're looking forward to your video, so keep us posted.
The original comment was: we were cheating by building a wall as a windbreak. Actually ThatNikonTvGuyRec does not even exist anymore on RU-vid. I'm afraid he's gone with the wind while pitching his tent on Greenland...
I absolutely love your video!! I would love to do that with somebody!! A lot of people wouldn't look at that as fun but boy that sure look like a lot of fun to me, and what an accomplishment!!! Beautiful, I just subscribed to your Channel!!! ❤️🐾❤️😃🙏☮️✝️🎄🎄
Brilliant :) Best Hilleberg ( actually any tent ) extreme video I've seen, manufacturers should have it on their website. Definitely better than any HereIsMyTentWhenTheApocalypseComesToTheUSA videos ;) ... a bit more room than my Akto
The Hilleberg would've probably handled the wind even without the snow block barrier. I was camping in the Sierra Nevada on top of the Sierra Buttes near Sierra City/Downieville mountain bike country and what started out as a calm night soon turned into a 50-60 mile wind. I was safely ensconced in my Hilleberg Stalon GT, rigorously tied down and I felt invincible in it. The only thing I lost was the Vestibule Footprint which blew away (if you found it, please let me know)
Je naam doet vermoeden dat je Nederlandse bent? Wat een geweldig filmpje! Ik reis ook graag met mijn Hilleberg (Unna), in een zee kayak. Wat jullie daar doen, zou ik ook heel graag willen proberen. Groetjes!
+Jolanda Linschooten ah ok thx for replying. i was thinking maybe i buy one of these ones to the winter and it looked comfortable and warm. best wishes johnny
@@OutdoorFoto Is the Keron 4 GT tent suitable for use in heavy rain and strong snow storms? Which is stronger fabric and tent ( Helsport 6 camp ) or ( Keron 4 GT )? Does the (keron 4 GT) tent come with the feature of adding double stakes for violent snowstorms? As with Helsport tents?
Can't think of a better place for 'em. If we had less of those types, the world would be a far more intriguing place. Thanks for the Vid, I hope to do that very thing this next year.
+Dougie Absolutely. And we leave the poles secured (halfway) in the tent, during the whole trip (as the sled is long enough) - this makes setting up of the tent much safer & easier. Greetings, Jolanda
+Jolanda Linschooten Thank you for your reply. That's great the sled will accommodate the full poles. I ordered this tent last week and I can't wait to use it. Thanks again Jolanda.
My friends have Nammatj's and they are excellent. I use the Keron 3, extremely strong in high winds. These tents don't fly away and don't be frightened of the wind shifting direction.
I understand but don't worry about it. If you buy the Keron you will have two entrances so one will always be out of the wind. These are incredibly strong tents.
