Man this hits different after Carl's failure. But all of these people are still there, still following Jesus, and I hope and pray that God's spirit dwells in them and grants them the very vitality to resist sin and love Jesus that Carl lacked. And I pray that Carl would repent and find life in Jesus too. Sometimes following Jesus is hardest when you're a pastor.

Acts 2 38 most churches stay away from this book but many Baptist even David pawson who passed away God spoke to him many years ago and changed the way he baptised in Jesus name and if it was called hill song Acts chapter 2 I think it would be better Luke 24 v 47 repentance and remission of sin shall be preached in my name ? Daniel Solomon Jesus instructed the Disciples of whom knew that Jesus was all 3 manifested into One. In Matthew 16:19 Peter was given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, Luke 24:47 said repentance and remission of signs should be preached in "his name" and that it would begin in Jerusalem. Acts 2:38 is Peter preaching to people from all over on the day of Pentecost and 'Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of "Jesus Christ" for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." No where in the bible is there an example of someone being baptized in the F, S & HS. Overtime it is the name of Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:16 says "All scripture" is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine... We have to look at all the scripture and understand the context. Jesus Name baptism is the only biblical example that supports all scripture on the subject.
JaredMarcMusic actually you seem to be forgetting something important. you have quoted from writings of the apostles, but Matthew 28:19 CLEARLY states that the last words of Jesus before the ascending of Jesus into heaven was to BAPTIZE IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. and this is no metaphor, Jesus clearly tells His disciples how to baptize people into His Kingdom. and also Jesus isnt all the three manifested into one, Jesus is one of the Three Godheads manifested into one. different in persons, but all one in Divine Nature

There is no other way in the scripture to be baptised according to the gospel of Christ. 2) The Holy Bible (King James Version) says that baptism in the New testament is for the remission of sins, and that it saves us. Baptism is not an ordinance that we obey after we are saved. It is how we become saved by the remission of our sins, and that which gives us the answer of a good conscience toward God. Conversion happens in baptism (Acts 2:38-40, 3:19).
