Hi Alex and Jeff, it looks like you guys are keeping up with fun flying. I had such a good time with you guys during the I OSH storm recovery last July. I though there were 3 of you? Hope you and your families are doing well. My 180 is in for annual, bummed that so many places are closed. The good news is we can go rouge and make our own fun. Take care and stay healthy, actually our small airports are wonderfully safe😎🏕
Good to see you again Alex. Beautiful springtime green there and nice ballet with those rolling hills! I always like your flying and the places you take us. I had to laugh when your plane called traffic on the cows.
Another bushplane video, starting off at a paved and towered airport. That sure makes me appreciate my own grass mountain strip. A little tip Alex, (and Palmer, and others) if I was making RU-vid videos on back country flying, for consumption by both the flying and non flying gen pub, I'd leave out the opening of the rented T hangar, the taxing on pavement and talking to the tower etc; it kind of is an unwelcome intrusion into the "romance" of off airport aviating. Just start with the good stuff and let people imagine your home base is anything but someplace with a tower!
I actually like that stuff. It shows you don't have to have your 'own grass mountain strip' to do that kind of thing. There's no point in hiding what your situation is.
I would like to see another Demo fo your shock landing gear! How about calling it. 'how do I like the shock gear after a year of use”? I am interested in a set for a project. Sure I am not the only one either! More about the gear please! Great content!
Alex, buddy, you're a sight for sore eyes! And the bitchin' betty is music to my ears...for once. (She says "traffic" just as the cows appear.) Your low pass with smoke was perfection -- big grins! "It was like IFR in the grass" : D "Smooth...." Bonk!
Nice flying Alex! You two have two of the nicest looking Kitfoxes out there. Love the low and slow and music. Let me know if you plan to fly into KLHM.
Just trying to help if you’re going to post public videos that the FSDO can review to suspend your license: Maintain 500’ from any person or vehicle. Same goes for your river run video. It’s happened to other pilot RU-vidrs.
That's actually false. The FAA has said it won't use video exclusively for actions against pilots - a physical witness must be necessary. Other pilot RU-vidrs have gotten calls from the FSDO because of witnesses have complained, not because of what they post on the internet. If someone were on the ground and said "he was 100 feet from me" and then a video was posted corroborating it, then there might be action by the FSDO.
@@ansonm4514 - We're saying the same thing. I only said that the FSDO can review them. I didn't say that the FSDO or FAA are scanning RU-vid videos for violations. If one of the multitude of people in the boats on the river who were flown over made a complaint, the video is right there for all to see and theoretically they could ascertain the distance between the aircraft and the boats. Whereas if the video did not exist, there is some plausible deniability if a complaint was made.
@@mikebeuselinck6138 Okay cool, on the same page for sure. I think the distinction is important that they won't solely use videos on RU-vid. Frankly, there are some RU-vid pilots that really should get at least a talking to from the FSDO based on some things they put online. And the fear of self incriminating, even unintentionally, is one of the reasons that I think a lot of people don't post content (at least for myself and other pilots I fly with).
@@ansonm4514 Totally agree. I also saw recently that ultralight pilot Tucker Gott was reported to the FSDO for a video showing him dropping a roll of toilet paper. But his original video from January shows that it occurred in the middle of the desert and not over populated area. It was obvious that the complaint was made by a RU-vid commenter/troll who didn't know the FARs. If the video evidence proves you did nothing wrong -- great! But if the video absolutely shows a violation, you probably don't want that video to be out there.
