Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist who is now known for her extensive number of artworks relating to esoteric doctrines and occultism. Over a thousand paintings were donated to her nephew, Erik af Klint, after her death with the message not make the paintings public until 20 years had passed. However, during her years working as a successful artist, trained in classical painting, she was mostly known for her landscape paintings and portraits.
